Unamericans to cut Promo at Ground Zero?

Recommended Posts

Guest chirs3
So fucking what? They fire you because you refuse to go to Ground Zero and make Anti-America statements? Go to every major news company and tell your story.

Agreed. There's not a chance in hell the WWE would fire them for NOT cutting a 9-11 promo at Ground Zero.

. Can anyone else see Test slapping his thigh and doing fake kicks while screaming "Shane, they're not selling for me!"

Sorry to break up the bad karma, but thats pretty funny

That would just be pure stupidity. I'm sure that Lance and Christian wouldn't do it, especially not Lance. He was uncomfortable even cutting a promo about that.

I don't think that Lance, Christian, and Test should be physically hurt for cutting a promo at Ground Zero, because it's really not their idea or their fault. If anything, you should attack Vince, Steph, and Russo-Lite.

Correction: Aw go ahead, kill Test.

The only thing that could make this situation any worse is if they have Goldust, Booker T and Kane save the day. These people will be pissed enough without a guy with Whoopi hair, a freak in a Gold jumpsuit and a maniac in a mask throwing fake punches and break dancing.

Just picturing this scenario made me laugh my ass off. Three canadians cutting the promo getting jumped by a gold freak, a burnt freak, and a convicted felon (I am sorry to rehash that old part but that is the first thing that came into my mind when I thought of him defending America) jumping to defend America while the mob that has formed just sitting around trying to decide which one of the six to beat first.

This is totally fuckin ridiculous . Where the hell do they get off thinking that this would be a good idea? What a bunch of losers . My aunt died because of the Sept 11 tradegy and this will make me completely boycott the WWE if this goes through . Some people just dont have any morals at all I guess . The thing that gets me is how could Storm Christian and Test actually sleep at night if they do do it ?

This is a completely retarded idea, surely someone will have enough brains to realise this is extremely stupid and insensitive and stop it from going ahead.

I seriously doubt this will happen. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it were an out of control rumor.

Lance Storm is already uncomfortable with the whole thing. If all three of them have any brains, they have to know that this will totally fuck their careers forever. Nobody will buy the "It's just a show" excuse.

They didn't have the balls to burn a flag, they made sure someone made the run in before it could happen. This is about a trillion times worse than burning a flag.

They'd need some kind of permit to shoot there, and that means the story will get to the mainstream press well before it actually happened.

AngleSault, please don't kill Christian and Lance Storm, they are good wrestlers. However, feel free to kill* Test as I don't want Kane/Test 2.

Oh yeah, and get Brian Gewirtz too kthx.

* I don't condone killing people.***

*** Well, most of the time.

Im surprised no one has questioned the legitimacy of this "rumor". Apparently the guys on the Law said it, so its gospel? I find it hard to believe that even Vince could do something this stupid.

Seriously, this sounds really far-fetched. I know they say "never say never" with wrestling, but I have trouble believing this kind of bullshit that at least ONE of the parties involved should be smart enough to say no to. No way this happens. Ever.

A promo like that is not needed. The group gets heat Lesnar could only dream about JUST by saying "America sucks."

They could arrive on a FDNY truck.

And Test, Storm and Christian when they show up could have their arms out pretending to be planes. Then when Booker,Dust, and Kane show up in firefighter outfits the Un-Americans could stand perfectly straight up and down like a tower and fall on them.

I can see it now. They hold their arms out and make plane noises.

Storm/Christian (Disinterested): Vroom.

Test: MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

My question is, what would any of them have said when cutting a Ground Zero heel promo?

Considering that this didn't happen while they were just IN New York, I think it's safe to file this under "Shit, Bull".

I guess I'll throw in my 2-cents since I am partially responsible for this post.

A buddy of mine phoned into the Law on Sunday talking about how the UnAmericans pussyfooting around the issue was getting annoying and that they should either just say 'You Deserved it' or just drop it all together because we were talking earlier in the day that it's insulting when they say things like 'Your president can't protect you' and 'the rest of the world hates you' and with a wink we are supposed to just hate them for it. There is just one way to play this angle and that's with balls-out. The Wwf are trying to walk this line where they 'hint at' 9/11 but don't directly 'go there', and we all know what they are doing, so rather than being offensive they are just being insulting.

From there Jeff Marek (co-host of the law) said that some Wwf officials/writers/braintrusts were really putting some thought into doing something from the Ground Zero site with the Unamericans and that it was more of an issue with the Networks than it was with Vince.

That is the absolute stupidest thing I've ever heard..

(eyes Steph) Somebody wasn't above comparing 9/11 to Vince's problems last time. I wonder who's "brilliant" idea this was..

The way she put over her dad, she made it sound like her Dad could beat Terrorism, but USA can't.

Or could it be that Vince raised his kids to believe that the U.S. government were nothing more than "terrorists in suits behind desks", especially around the times the feds were trying to nail McMahon for steroids.

But the Ground Zero promo? Horribly bad taste. I wouldn't go near it.

Man, whoever the fuck thought up that idea must be on the pot that Nevada just legalized. Now that has crossed the line. Why can't the writers come up with better ways to get heel heat? Seriously, forget the Montreal screwjob, this would probably top that if it were to happen.......

Guys, calm down. This is just a rumour right now, it hasn't happened and you guys are getting all upset about it. The WWE already got major heat when The UnAmerica's just commentated about 9/11 in one of the promos, I don't think they're going to do something like this after that. The bookers and writers realise the huge heat they could get for this so the chances of them doing something this drastic about 9/11 is very low.

Why not do the promo in Washington D.C? After all, it is the headquarters of the U.S. goverment.

Or travel to Berlin and Hiroshima and Afghanistan and talk about they were "victims of American aggression."?

It's offical: Vince McMahon HAS no heart.

The Hart Foundation were also anti-American, but they didn't go to Oklahoma City and cut a promo on the Federal Building and they still got over with their anti-American shtick.

I was listening to the Sunday edition of the Law,

If you read or heard it on the net then it must be true.

Come on, if anyone seriously believes this then you need a reality check.
