Guest HBK16 Report post Posted August 28, 2002 I needed some extra cash and my friend donates plasma so I thought I would give it a try. I am doing a good thing and getting paid for it. It's like hitting two birds with one stone! The bad things about it is that the needle is huge and it took like 45 minutes to do it. The doctor told me that everyone gets used to the needles and they have no problem with it after a few times so I am considering of becoming a donar. You get $20 or so, but you're only allowed to do it three times a week or something. Mother says my veins are perfect for it. Fuck any needles getting into me though. Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted August 28, 2002 I've donated blood (out of the goodness of my heart of course, although next week due to a special promotion I'll get a pint of ice cream for my pint of blood) several times before, but never plasma. If there's a place nearby when I go to college though, if I can't find a job or get in on a work study program I'd consider it. I'm not afraid of needles, and since I'm a materialistic person who must constantly buy new DVDs and CDs... I'd rather have tons of holes in me and the opportunity to take my friends (and maybe new girlfriend?) to a new movie than stay broke and become just another starving student.
