Just a thought on what would've been a cool Main Event

 

The Setup: Show open's with HHH coming out to talk. He starts bragging and putting himself over and saying he retired Shawn and softened up the Rock for Brock and that he wants his favor returned in a title shot. Brock and Paul come out to respond. After that, HBK runs out from the crowd and lays out HHH with a chair. He tells Brock he beat HHH so if anyone deserves a shot its him, and it should be tonight. Paul and Brock ok it. Annoucers put over the fact that HBK is semi-retired and is gonna get slaughtered.

 

The Match: Brock works HBK's back 6 ways from Sunday and basically kicks his ass from pillar to post. Couple of short rallies by HBK are thrown in, with short being the operative word. Eventually, the ref calls for the bell when Brock won't release some submission hold on HBK's back once he makes the ropes (which he would hang onto for a ridiculous amount of time and "retire" Shawn with).

 

The Result: Shawn retires having put over a new star. Brock looks like a ruthless monster and, as an added bonus, Brock could refuse to fight HHH for a while because "he couldn't even beat a cripple".

 

I realize this leaves no challenger for the title, but this was just a cool idea I had for one night's Main Event.

Annoucers put over the fact that HBK is semi-retired and is gonna get slaughtered.

I thought that HBK/Lesnar would be the main event for Raw too, especially when HHH came out to his music. Only problem with your idea I have is that the announcers couldn't really say that HBK had no chance, since he did beat HHH the day before. [And of course just his appearance would mean that HBK no-sold a sledgehammer to his already "crippled" back, but WWE ignores stuff like that whenever they want to anyway]

This would make HHH look bad. I don't have to explain why that means it would never happen.

Here's what *I* hope happens next week: Bishcoff and Stephanie are in the ring arguing over the title situation.

 

Steph: Sure, Eric, I'd love to hear what you have to say, I've got all the time in the world.

 

Eric: Well maybe YOU do, but sitting here chatting with you has made me late to a prior engagement. And according to my watch, I'm...oh....THREE MINUTES late!

 

Then Jamal and Rosie beat up Steph and everyone is happy.

I want Vince to come out and do exactly what he did before last year's survivor series...

Just replace "Alliance" with "Brand extension", and I'm happy. Make Bischoff the full-time commish, get Steph off TV FOR GOOD THIS TIME. Bring back the old Raw is War look and music, bring back Stone Cold, leave Brock as champion, and somehow beat the pandas and get the fucking company name back.

 

Then I will be truly happy.
