Rambo Trilogy DVD set

Got them a few months ago but haven't watched them. I know the extras aren't that great. They mainly just have a documentary on each one. Not exactly the stacked special editions most special editions ares.

These new SE's are way better than the old ones. All the films are now in anamorphic widescreen. The sound is remastered in 5.1, as well as DTS. Each film has a new documentary as well as audio commentary by the specific director.

They are pretty cheap too, so if you didn't buy the old ones, this new set is worth picking up.

Are the commentaries new? Or is teh First Blood one the same as the old disc?

Did they leave the ending of Rambo 3 where it said "This movie is dedicated to the hard working people of Afghanistan" or did they take it out(which I was guessing is what they would do)?

I was watching Rambo 3 in August 2001, with no idea about Afghanistan and when that line came up at the end my father nearly spit out his beer laughing at it's stupidity, sadly I found out why a few weeks later.

Yeah I know. I finally got around to watching Rambo 3 a couple of weeks ago and was just SHOCKED when that line came up. According to some people that have the newly released DVD's they actually did keep that line in there, which I can't believe they did.

Well at the time they were fighting the "Evil Empire" and were technically our allies as a result and we suppoerted their war effort with billions worth of weapons, inteligence, and training. As well as building many of the caves that they are hiding in right now. What gratitude those Afghans have, huh?
