Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 28, 2002 Can't believe i screwed up the topic title like that...i could've swore i spelled it right. The extras are pretty good, but god damn Tarantino is such a movie geek. I mean I pretty much knew it before, but watching him on the behind the scenes footage and explaining the deleted scenes proves it without a shadow of a doubt. Now don't get me wrong i'm not insulting him i mean hell he admits it. It's actually what i like about him he just completely loves what he's doing. Can't wait to watch the movie with his commentary track. I also have the Reservoir Dogs DVD to get through. I know you were wondering about it so let me clear your mind i got the Mr. Pink cover. Now i like Steve Buscemi but why does the cover have to be pink couldn't it be purple?

Hell, I'd rather have that than some director who goes "duh" throughout a commentary. I rented Hart's War and the guy was horrible when talking about the deleted scenes. There was one scene (a rather lengthly one) where he didn't say anything until the end, and what he said was something like "Oh, it pains me to see this scene cut from the movie." lame
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 28, 2002 Oh yeah i know exactly what you mean. Which is why further down i said that's why i like Tarantino because he totally loves what he's doing.
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted August 28, 2002 Can't wait to watch the movie with his commentary track. It doesn't have a commentary track so that's gonna be kinda difficult.

It doesn't have a commentary track so that's gonna be kinda difficult. which is exactly why i'm perfectly happy with my vhs copy, complete with deleted scenes & tarantino's comments before the scenes. Guest areacode212 Report post Posted August 29, 2002 If you play it in your DVD-ROM, it does have a kind of "text-only" trivia/commentary thing that appears in a window below the movie, provided you use the InterActual player thing. It's pretty good, actually, and it provides some interesting details about the movie. I never realized that the gun that was on Butch's counter actually belonged to Marsellus, not Vincent. If you don't have a DVD-ROM, or if you'd rather use PowerDVD or whatever, the trivia track is also included as one of the subtitles. I'll fix the topic name. Guest areacode212 Report post Posted August 29, 2002 As for Reservoir Dogs, all Best Buy had were the Mr. Pink and the Mr. Orange covers. Argh. There's another BB on the way to work, so I'll try to score Mr. Brown (doubtful, but worth a shot), or at least one of the manlier colors.

The trivia track on the DVD and the one on the ROM are different aren't they?
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted August 29, 2002 I only compared the two briefly (during the Gimp scene), but they appeared to be the same.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 29, 2002 Oh there isn't a commentary track? Well now that's strange with all the other extras. Well i guess its good that he at least did commentary for the deleted before each started.
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted August 29, 2002 Yeah, but he did that stuff in like 1992 or whenever for the original VHS release. I don't think Tarantino actually did anything for this DVD. ha The trivia track on the normal movie and the ROM ARE both the same. How retarded is that? They listed it in the Rom features like it was something special and it's just same damn thing I've watched already.
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted August 29, 2002 Yeah, but the DVD-ROM version is cooler because every time a tiny picture appears next to the text, you can click on it and a larger version appears. It pauses the movie while it does so, so it's kind of annoying, but it's a nice addition. Besides, the GUI looks better on the DVD-ROM, and you can skip ahead to the next bit of "trivia" if you don't feel like sitting through the scene. I just got Mr. Pink. I figured I liked Steve Buscemi more than Tim Roth.
