Guest Luke Argyle Report post Posted February 24, 2002 >>8) Genichiro Tenryu d. Satoshi Kojima (Brainbuster, 17:51) Tenryu is now #1 Contender to the Triple Crown FUCK!!! *Flips desk over and sets it on fire* Just kidding. It hurts to admit it, but Kojima's not ready for the dance yet anyway. He will be soon and I can't wait to see the match. That is excellent that Kawada won. I'm shocked, really. I'm so used to seeing promotions make the wrong moves that I can't even tell when they make correct ones. Great news, though!
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted February 24, 2002 It looks like it was a solid show. Does anyone know if the main lived up to the expectations? PLus, they need to start building up Masato Tanaka NOW!
Guest McLeary Report post Posted February 24, 2002 I actually had Kawada beat Mutoh on VPW2 tonight(18:18>Ganso Bomb), thinking that was the closest I'd get to the real thing. Pleasantly surprised am I.
Guest The Son of Sting Report post Posted February 24, 2002 was kawada v Muto a MOTYC?
Guest Captian Linger Report post Posted February 24, 2002 was kawada v Muto a MOTYC? Well, their first match sure wasn't. I don't think anyone in the states could have seen it yet. I'd check Zach's site in the next few days in case he reviews it has he already reviewed Kobashi's return match.
Guest Sykotic2002 Report post Posted February 24, 2002 Their first match wasn't a MOTY match. IT was a good match, but not as good as you would expect. IT seemed to slow pace. I liked Mutoh v. Tenryu better.
Guest CB2M Report post Posted February 24, 2002 Their first match wasn't a MOTY match. IT was a good match, but not as good as you would expect. IT seemed to slow pace. I liked Mutoh v. Tenryu better. Mutoh vs. Tenryu wasn't a MOTYC either, IMO. Both of those matches last year were overrated ga-ga.
Guest reverse knife edge Report post Posted February 25, 2002 I'll concur on the Mutoh/Kawada and Mutoh/Tenryu matches being overrated. Mutoh/Tenryu was quite good but nowhere near great and Mutoh/Kawada was just flat out disappointing. Here's hoping Mutoh busted ass in putting Kawada over. If there's any justice, Kawada will get a nice run with the TC. He can start by kicking the shit out of Tenryu's ancient ass.
