Have to agree with you, HBK.  Goldust relies far too much on restholds and wrestles way to slow to be any good.  I don't think he's ever had a match over ***, and I don't even know if he's had one at that (other than the 10 man at CANADIAN STAMPEDE, but that's only because nine other guys kinda made up for his lack of talent).  His character was interesting when he debuted due to the gay implications, but time has worn down any shock value it had and now it's basically Dustin running around in his golden PJ's.

By the way, didn't Runnells denounce Goldust on a 1999 edition of NITRO?

I think it's also a valid question as to why he was brought back.  It's not like there is a lack of talent in the WWF at the moment.  Do they really need another mid-carder taking up space on the roster?  I expect Goldust will gradually disappear from tv very quickly when his use runs out.

He's impressed me with his first match, more so than the Big Show has in his whole career. I thought you guys liked old school too? (Sorry to stereotype)

The character of Goldust needs to be buried and put to rest.  He can't work as a face because no one can relate or sympathize with a freakish man in a blonde wig, gold pajamas and makeup.  It's too cartoonish and goofy.  He doesn't do anything really heelish.  Having homosexual overtones, groping one's self, and quoting movies does not make a heel.  If that were the case, Michael Jackson would be 2/3rds of the way of being a great villain.  I think Dustin Runnels would have been a much more interesting choice to come back as than the character of Goldust.

No way, Dustin Runnels is one of the most boring people in wrestling. He sucks in and out of the ring.

Michael Jackson IS a villain. He's definetly over as a heel with me, anyway.

Dustin was ok when he was in WCW in the early 90's as the Natural, but now he should be nowhere near TV, let alone RVD. I don't know what the point of that feud is.

I don't know why the WWF signed Dustin. They already have too much talent. I guess they said Dustin to keep him away from other start up feds.

I'm sorry, were you guys watching a different match than me on Sunday? The Goldust/RVD match was *** AT LEAST, and the Goldust character is one of the only ones on TV with ANYTHING interesting about it whatsoever. Name me one other midcarder with such a defined character being portrayed.

Wasn't everyone talking about how much they wanted Goldust to come back after he appeared at the Rumble? RVD and Goldust had the best match at No Way Out, I'd say. They work really well together. It's really suprising because you'd think there styles would be to different to work with each other.

I think Goldust is a very interesting character.  Out of all the mid-carder heels, he is the most unpredictable.  Plus he has an awesome entrance.  Sure most of his matches aren't classics, but they are entertaining.  It all depends on whether or not his opponent can carry him to a good "wrestling" match.  We know the Undertaker couldn't (1996), but RVD can.

I don't know, personally, I loved Golddust back when he debuted, and his rivalry with Razor Ramon was classic back in the day, but I'm just not feeling it anymore with him...

If you want a gay heel or two, look no further than Billy and Chuck.

Being a lesbian, I find that watching these two ignorant steroid behemoths less interesting than curling. That's right, curling.

Now, on the same regards, Mr. Perfect shouldv'e been back way earlier than now, but I'm glad he's in the WWF again. He was and still is my all time favorite heel. Period.

If they wanted to bring Runnels back so much, try to restart 7even. I still say Runnels wouldv'e eventually been WCW champ had he actually kept the angle.

Oh well....
