Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 29, 2002 Report Posted August 29, 2002 Here Hmm. Looks like the TV people finally got smart, and said "If they wanna skip our commercials during the breaks, we'll put the commercials on during the show and then they can't skip em!"
Guest Strike Force! Posted August 29, 2002 Report Posted August 29, 2002 Here Hmm. Looks like the TV people finally got smart, and said "If they wanna skip our commercials during the breaks, we'll put the commercials on during the show and then they can't skip em!" I'm so glad I don't watch much TV anymore. Talk about a medium that has gone to pot.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 29, 2002 Report Posted August 29, 2002 I dont watch that much tv anymore either, cept for Wrestling, Simpsons, 24. Most of my free time is spent with the internet or DVDs.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted August 29, 2002 Report Posted August 29, 2002 That is so pathetic. It says "See a guy shaving on a show, then a commerical for a razor pops up!" I wonder If I'm watching some sex show, a commerical for a comdom or dildo will pop up?
Guest jimmy no nose Posted August 29, 2002 Report Posted August 29, 2002 If they do that they should get rid of commercials. Either that or we should all hunt down the people responsible for this.
Guest C.H.U.D. Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 Yet another reason to buy my favourite shows on DVD.
Guest Karnage Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 Sports has so much ads its not even funny(Even the list of the starting lineups is sponsored). Now it's gonna be even worse with pop up ads.
Guest J*ingus Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 You see, there's the goose called Television, and it lays golden eggs which are known as Advertising Money. Now here comes the greedy farmer with a big sharp axe, with the label "Pop-up Ads" on its side.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted August 31, 2002 Report Posted August 31, 2002 Jesus. I don't mind most forms of advertising, but damn. That's just too much. It's bad enough I'm watching old NYPD Blue episodes on Court TV when suddenly the picture gets distorted because a message pops up at the bottom saying that this television moment is brought to my by Toyota.... !@#$%
Guest Bosstones Fan Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Well if they're going to start doing this, then cable and satellite tv ought to become "free," like regular over-the-air stations. Goddamn it, if I have to put up with EVEN MORE ADS for products I never buy, then I ought to at least be able to stop paying for the right to watch all the ads. It's only fair. I know it'll never happen, but it's a nice dream.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Yeah, and at the same time our cable bill will continue to rise...
Guest J*ingus Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 Did anyone have the name of the person who came up with this idea? ::Jingus scratches another entry onto a long, drool-covered, tattered piece of paper entitled "Hit List".::
