Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted August 29, 2002 "SmackDown! preview for August 29, 2002 This past Monday on RAW, Triple H defeated the Undertaker to become the No. 1 Contender. But the No. 1 Contender to what? Later in the show, we learned that Stephanie McMahon has lured the Undisputed Champion Brock Lesnar to SmackDown!... for good. As of now, the Undisputed Championship stays on SmackDown! That being said, there needs to be a No. 1 Contender. According to Stephanie, there will be a No. 1 Contender named on SmackDown! This Thursday night on UPN, a series of matches will be held to determine the No. 1 Contender to Brock's Championship. Also, Kurt Angle and Rey Mysterio stole the show last Sunday at SummerSlam. The Olympic hero came out on top that night, but are things truly settled between him and the explosive Mysterio? Find out Thursday! You never know what will happen on SmackDown! Don't miss it Thursday at 8 p.m./7 CT on UPN!" I will be sleeping at 8 p.m./7 CT. Am I the only one?
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted August 29, 2002 Its actually a good show. There are some down points, but for the most part its a good show.
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted August 29, 2002 Tonight is for fans of Stephanie as she will be on the show about 2 million times by the looks of it. (Spoiler? nah...just a warning!) Tonight also is the VMA's for me since the freaking Jets preseason game is preempting us in New York. Those b*stards. Niko
Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted August 29, 2002 VMA's are tonight? I totally forgot. In that case, f*ck Smackdown
Guest OctoberBlood Report post Posted August 29, 2002 VMA's suck, and so does MTV. I'll be tuned in for Smackdown, as always. Thanks for the preview.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted August 29, 2002 There's no Smackdown tonight anyway. Saturday Night 8 PM

Guest TheHulkster Report post Posted August 29, 2002 I'm guessing the VMA's will be far more enteraining than SD. So tonight, SD gets the tape treatment.
Guest FSUBitchBoy2002LOL Report post Posted August 29, 2002 I won't be watching Smackdown!, because I will be busy tonight. However, I am looking forward to all the workrate in the matches, and hope it is comparable to the outstanding effort put on at WM X-8.
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted August 29, 2002 Was that sarcasm? I sure hope so. Niko
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted August 29, 2002 Screw Smackdown! (Yeah, I'll probably record it) MTV does suck, but their award shows are always good. Hell, Britney is Closer & Closer to getting naked every year.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted August 29, 2002 I'd much rather see The VMA's than watch Rikishi Fagtu Wrestle. I watch The VMA's every year anyway.
Guest D'Lo White Report post Posted August 29, 2002 There's not even anyone good performing at the VMA's. I just can't wait for Justin Timberlake's first solo performance. YAY
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted August 29, 2002 Eminem and P.Diddy. That's all I care to see. Damn The Vines and The Hives. Miss Overrated 2002, Avril, will plays the pre-show. Anyway, back to Smackdown.

Guest Kingpk Report post Posted August 29, 2002 I'll probably watch SD, since MTV will replay the VMA's 2500 times this weekend. At least they have a host I'll be able to stand (Jimmy Fallon). Hell, Britney is Closer & Closer to getting naked every year. Prediction: Britney will be in Playboy/Penthouse by 2005.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted August 29, 2002 VMAs or Smackdown? Hmmm, both suck more than humanly possible. Tough choice, I guess I'll be watching WM 10 and Survivor Series 96.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted August 29, 2002 Well, I have Smackdown on tape, so Im gonna watch it again when it would normally air and try to make some conversation. There were a few things that I would love to talk about.
Guest Maven's Eyebrows Report post Posted August 29, 2002 I live in New Jersey, so SD won't be on until Saturday for me (here's a big, hearty FUCK YOU to the people who pre-empted it for a FOOTBALL GAME!). I would watch it if it was on, though, because I hate MTV and don't give a shit about music.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted August 29, 2002 Do you ever get the feeling that nobody is watching??

Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted August 30, 2002 I know I am going to try to watch. I cannot say I am terribly excited about it. I already missed the first hour here in Canada, and they are presently showing a match I do not want to see, so I am going to watch it from the start from the UPN station from Michigan that I get up here. And here we go...
