I miss the days of Paul Heyman's commentary. It was great having someone there to keep J.R the hoss lover in line. They had a great chemistry because you could tell they really hated each other. Paul E was a god, he made J.R look like a moron week in week out.

this just makes me sad. i so long for the days when ross could convey the excitement of a match by CALLING THE MATCH instead of being pissed off at X wrestler for doing Y dastardly deed and spouting off his catchphrases. and dear god i hate it when he's trying to force excitement by screaming at the top of his lungs. it used to be cool when he did it rarely & it MEANT SOMETHING, but he says something like "BAH GOD!!! WHAT A RAW!!! WHO WILL WIN!!! WHAT AN EVENT SUMMERSLAM WILL BE ON PAY-PER-VIEW!!!" it's just annoying.

 

but i'm always grateful to ross for having a better speaking voice than michael cole. when he talks, it doesn't feel like someone is stabbing me in the ear with a pencil.
