Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 I strongly disagree. The second song was not bad at all IMO. That beats Timberlakes performance...er...dancing
Guest JAxlMorrison Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 Important announcment: I'm am replacing the phrase "Fat Elvis" with "Axl 2002" in my personal vocabulary. Thought you'd wanna know.... You attempted to be clever there and just made no sense. Elvis put on like 110 pounds, Axl looks like he put on like 15, and most of it muscle. I was clever, you didn't get it. Fat Elvis refers to when a star completly goes off the deep end and is unable to conduct themselves normally without first spending 90 minutes thinking of how famous and godlike they are. Axl hasn't seen reality for 10 years, hence he's Fat Elvis. Haha, ok i will admit that made me laugh. He is a little bit out of his gourd, but how do you feel about him as a musician? Aren't you glad to see him back, no matter who it is with?
Guest Ozymandias Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 Yes, I even like "Madagascar" and "Oh My God". But Axl himself pisses me off terribly. It really wouldn't have been hard to keep the band togther, but he just seems to have the worst attitude imaginable. That might seem petty, but I can't stand it when one person can be such a hostile influence that he would destroy such a great thing (yes, I'm aware Slash, Duff, and Izzy may not have been the most stable people themselves, but Axl damn near chased them away). Still I can't help but hope for the best for Chinese Democracy (or whatever it may be called now), whenever it comes out.
Guest converge241 Posted September 3, 2002 Report Posted September 3, 2002 "shit at first I thought it was Kid Rock doing a cover of GNR. " hey , I thought it was Mike Muir ((as like 2 people know who im talking about))
Guest JAxlMorrison Posted September 3, 2002 Report Posted September 3, 2002 Yeah I think I was one of the few people who liked "Oh My God". If you take the time to listen to the lyrics, they're really pretty good. As far as their newer stuff.........try to download "The Blues" and "Chinese Democracy". Both excellent songs IMHO.
Guest Dmann2000 Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 I liked Madagascar best too but what I liked most was the post show interview with Kurt Loder, Axl was coherent and most of all semmed happy. Axl is happy :-) That's a great Axl to have around Of course "Thanks to this asshole with the camera, this show's over" Axl is infinitly more fun
Guest Black Lushus Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 with studio help, Axl can still be a great front man...that Madagascar song was great and if it's a sign of what's on the new album, then I'm all for it...oh yeah, could Justin Timberlake try any harder to totally copy Michael Jackson in his prime while lip syncing?
Guest red_file Posted September 7, 2002 Report Posted September 7, 2002 ...oh yeah, could Justin Timberlake try any harder to totally copy Michael Jackson in his prime while lip syncing? He could've grabbed his crotch.
