Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 Saw it. But I figured there needed to be one announcing no strike. Didn't mean to step on your toes. Sorry man.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 No problem, I'm just so happy they avoided a strike.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 Just like its always been, the Cincinnati Reds.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 Then I have to hate on you for your team demolishing my A's back in 1990.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 Haha, the good ol' years. Next year is gonna be awesome, new Stadium. I hope to be there on opening day.
Guest El Satanico Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 Damn...i was hoping that they would strike. That way they would piss the rest of the fans off and not have anyway to pay their lazy overpayed asses. Actually it would of been good to screw the owners out of money as well. Perhaps my total dislike of the game played into my mindset towards the strike. Well either way screw MLB and their overpayed players and the crybaby owners whining about what they got themselves into.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 Uh, riiight. If you don't like the game, I suggest you ignore it then.
Guest alkeiper Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 Damn...i was hoping that they would strike. That way they would piss the rest of the fans off and not have anyway to pay their lazy overpayed asses. I can see overpaid, but what on Earth makes them lazy?
Guest Strike Force! Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 I was sort of hoping for a strike to only to see what the aftermath would be. Fortunately, there will probably be some fan backlash despite the fact that there will be no strike.
Guest alkeiper Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 Why does there have to be fan backlash? Their contract expired, they re-negotiated, and agreed to a new contract. Nothing was lost.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 Why does there have to be fan backlash? Their contract expired, they re-negotiated, and agreed to a new contract. Nothing was lost. Its hard for us to sympathize with billionaire owners who want more and millionaire players who want more. Its greed.
Guest alkeiper Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 Its hard for us to sympathize with billionaire owners who want more and millionaire players who want more. Its greed. Who said the players want more? They simply wanted what they already have.
Guest bob_barron Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 I'm going to the Jays-Yanks game tonight!!!
