Guest Mole Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 I have yet to watch any NWA-TNA. However, I have been hearing about 'The Truth.' Is he that good? I think I am going to order this coming of weeks PPV, would it be worth it?
Guest ShooterJay Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 This week is the "Special X" show, so the Truth won't be on, but if you want to see some eye-popping, true cruiserweight action from some of the best indy wrestlers in the country, check it out. I hope you know "the Truth" is the former K-Kwik. He hasn't had a real quality match yet, but I'm sure he'll have one soon, though it won't be against Brian Lawler (aka Grandmaster Sexay) his next scheduled opponent. His promos have been incredible since he's been in TNA.
Guest Redhawk Posted August 30, 2002 Report Posted August 30, 2002 Come on, it's K-Kwik. He can't be THAT good. But he is charismatic.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 31, 2002 Report Posted August 31, 2002 That's just closed minded. It's hard to show workrate when people know you for jobbing in 3 minute tag matches with Road Dogg.
Guest Mole Posted August 31, 2002 Report Posted August 31, 2002 Oh, its K-Kwik? Well, I know who he is now. So this week is all about the X-Division? What is going to happen on the special?
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted August 31, 2002 Report Posted August 31, 2002 Highlights of the X-Division, like probably the 3-Way between LowKi, AJ Styles, and Jerry Lynn from Week 8 (my MOTY), the Double-Elimination 4-Way from Week 2 (AJ Styles, Psicosis, Jerry Lynn, and I THINKG LowKi), and they'll definitely talk about the 6-Way rankings match and the feuds of Styles/Lynn and Siaki/everybody else in the X-Division.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 This will probably be my 1st ordering of NWA. All I know is, I better get at least 1 match w/ Elix Skipper in it. How many X-Div matches has he been involved in?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 He was in the good 6 man from week 4 and he had a title shot at Styles. From everything I've read...they keep using the word clips. I don't know why they'd be that stupid not to show whole matches on a two hour show. But...when there's a Russo...there's a way.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Whole matches would make sense. Seems pretty simple to me: showcase your best stuff in the hopes that newbies will tune in & come back for more. A clip show would be hella lame.
