Guest alfdogg Report post Posted August 31, 2002 I disagree AS. I'd say that Owen Hart ranked above Shammy and even Rock at that time. It was HBK refusing to work with Owen that sent him below.

Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted August 31, 2002 The thing about it is, EVERYONE knows RVD and Angle are already over. Giving them belts is great and all, but who are they gonna wrestle against? Um, how about each other? Angle-RVD hasn't been done before, aside from brief interactions during the invasion. I can't think of any feud the WWE could come up with right now that would have half the heat this would.
Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted August 31, 2002 Look at it this way. how must someone like Chris Benoit feel, going out there every week, getting heat, having good/great matches, and GOING no where, while Brock gets the title becuase he won some random lottery or something (I still don't understand who's idea it was to push Lesnar of all people to the top) I don't know how someone like Chris Benoit feels. I don't speculate. But think about this, Chris has a wife and children, maybe he doesn't want the pressure right now of being the top guy. Besides from what I've heard he has a downside gaurentee of half a million. I do believe Benoit will get his chance. The choice for Brock has been made, your best form of protest Anglesault would be to turn of the TV whenever Brock is on, and to not talk about him. Positive or negative, plublicity is plublicity. Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted August 31, 2002 To me...Brock is a slap in the face to RVD more than anyone. I mean...sure Benoit deserves it more but he'd been out injured. And RVD completely broke out like no other wrestler had in some time. I mean..he's still ahead of Edge...and he's been a project for a long time. It would be a slap in the face to Angle, if I didn't think that Angle would be the one to take the strap off of him. It would be a slap in the face to Jericho if they gave the title to a green guy and actually gave him a chance at a good reign (that Jericho never had)...but they look to be booking Brock like a joke too. But what I'm curious about is if you hold hatred towards Brock personally, or is Brock merely the placeholder for "wrong decision by WWE this week"
Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted August 31, 2002 If I ever get into Vince's office, I'm going to bring in a copy of RVD's, Angle's, and Brock's matches. When RVD and Angle come out, I will repeatedly smash his head into the tv until he admits that they get the biggest responses in the company. Then I will have him compare it to Brock's. And I will refuse to leave the room until I get an acceptable explanantion. Sounds to me like you're wanting to force something down someone's throat that he's not wanting to accept. Where have I heard this before

He just left his six figure WCW salary for kicks. QUOTE (Anglesault @ Aug 31 2002, 05:12 AM) If I ever get into Vince's office, I'm going to bring in a copy of RVD's, Angle's, and Brock's matches. Where have I heard this before I'm shoving it down the fans thoats or Vince's throat? Because it's not about what VINCE wants. Remember the last time Vince TOLD the people what they wanted? No, you don't want that HBK fella, You want DIESEL!
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted September 1, 2002 uh...did the board's colors just become inverted for anyone else? It looks like a frickin negative. Anyway, you can see Brock's potential by watching him, which is most likely what the writeres based thier decision on. However, you can also see a guy who's putting on some crappy matches and can't get the crowd behind him. Brock will eventually ditch this Goldberg character and recover from this push, but not for a while. First he's going to beat about 6 upper card guys starting with Taker. (could HBK be next?). Now I don't have a problem with feeding Brock guys like Taker, Shawn, Nash, Flair, Hogan, Rock, because the're on the outs anyway. But then he's going to lose to HHH, and he's gonna start jobbing his ass off so everybody can get their heat back, starting with Bubba Fuckin Dudley. I'm coming around to Brock, but this is too much too fast, and he can only go down. In a year, Lesnar and Bautista could be the same person for all we'll know. Then he'll have to build back up, and he could be stuck there with Jericho, Angle, Eddy, Benoit in the midcard.
Guest Brian Report post Posted September 1, 2002 Most of his bad matches have all been passable, and he hasn't really had a quality opponent to work with yet other than Rock. He's has a great look and a ton of potential and alreayd does a great job selling and bumping even though his characterr doesn't really dictate he should be doing it. Still, it's too much too fast. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted September 1, 2002 I don't blame Brock for any of this. It's different from HHH for a mulitude of reasons, not the least of which is that Brock doesn't have any political shadyness. The WWE is completely at fault for not knowing/caring/or feeling the need to give teh fans something they actually want for a change.
Guest deadbeater Report post Posted September 1, 2002 Hell, he isn't even the youngest champion. Molly is not exactly eligible to collect Social Security on disability. I know we aren't supposed to talk about women's ages, but this is ridiculous.
