Sleep? What's sleep?

Some new word, I suppose.

To quote you EPD: "Sleep? Que?"

I'm drinking a Kirin Ichiban right now.

I should probably be doing some homework.

I'm... uh... wasting time. Debating whether or not to stay online, or go back to my room and finish watching the 1946 French version of Beauty & the Beast.

I rented three items from Hollywood Video tonight:

Stop Making Sense, DVD edition

Open Your Eyes, videotape; would later be remade into the rather blah Vanilla Sky

WCW's Souled Out 1999. Um, yeah.

One of these things is different...

God, help me I'm being drawn into the general chat folder. When I said I wanted to expand from the WWE folder, I was thinking more about the porn folder.

Anyway, we can all agree that nothing beats a long, shitty weekend like some good vandaling. Here's another great time killer: Mexican Health Violations.

When you eat Mexican, make sure it's at a place that is in trouble with the law for health codes. The're warm, have nice staff (though only some will speak english), and most importantly ~SPANISH RICE~

Also, these people bust thier ass to feed you. Do them a favor and kill as many flies as possible.

I quit my job in the most pathetic way possible today. I waited for them to send me on break and then took that opportunity to hop in my car and haul ass out of there. So no more money for a while. That basically means no more CDs, which sucks, and that I'll be going to my local sports bar for all future PPV events. Until I move, of course, in November. Then it's a whole new ballgame.

That's pretty lame, Kinetic. You should've taken the opportunity to tell some people off; instead, you took the coward's way out.

I applaud not only your action, but the style of recollection of the action.

You get a 9.1 because the Canadian judge is on crack.

Well, I still have to go back in next Wednesday to get my check and return my shirts. If there's anyone to tell off, I'll take that opportunity to do it. I'm reminded of George Costanza's classic account of the walk in being glorious when you're quitting, but the walk out being upsetting because you realize how much money you'll be losing.

I quit because I hated the job. The stress involved is totally disproportionate to the amount of money that you make. And they had me on this new schedule where I was basically doing all of the work for everyone. So to hell with them.

You really should have told off the people you didn't like or had problems with. Thats the fun way. What kind of job was it anyway?

Just snap and go Carlin on them. Get it on video too. I'd pay to see that.

Of course, it'd take a lot to get YOU riled up. Maybe I'll arrange for them to have a Leonard Cohen material burning promotion that day. I know from personal experience that gets results.

It was a burger job at McDonald's. Not anything serious, really, but they've hired me back twice after similar outbursts. Both times I've sworn that I'd never do it again, too. Little did they realize that I'm completely unreliable.

Oh, I get angry at work. If people fuck around enough, I'll start pistol-whipping suckas then and there. I never have to be restrained or anything, but the blood does start to boil and I do smoke 197 packs a day.

Kinetic, I'm sure that you get this regularly, but I must say that you have the coolest goddamn avatar I've ever seen. That is all.

EDIT: It'd be nice, however, if there was a mini Ginsburg in the background, but ya' can't have everything I guess.

I do get that a lot, actually. Let me just say that your sig is bordlerine plagiarism because I had one just like it a few months ago. Anyone familiar with their Kinetic lore can back me up on that. But because I think you're a worthwhile human being and I wish no particular harm upon you, I'll allow you to keep it.

I still say Kinetic's banner is errie.

I would say that your exit was extremly well done. However, the fact that you are going back kind of kills the effect. In the future, you may want to stick around untill you get your check. Those kids would have looked up to you dammit!

similar story

When I worked at Pizza Hut, a guy got hired as a cook. He worked for two hours, then walked out the back door, never to be seen again.

Also:

Do NOT eat at Pizza Hut, particularly any in the NW Indiana area. That is all.

Yeah, I guess they decided to leave out Ginsberg sermonizing in the background. It's still very cool, though, and I've decided never to change it.

Guest Kinetic

Those McDonald's kids already looked up to me, as I was the senior non-management member of the night crew. If you subtract my two extended absences, of course. Plus I was much, much cooler than any of them and they all knew it.

I'm cool but I'm not from Abilene. People who are born in or around Abilene are, by nature, not cool.

Chirst, I'm really whoring today. I should go hang out in Word Association.

Anyway, Kinetic I just read your Britney article for the first time. It's absolutly fucking brillant. Made all the more poignant by the fact that I read that interview on a contact high at 4 in the morning last weekend.

anyway, I was wondering if I could use your "Spears remains unfazed" line in my sig. That would rox my sox.

Guest Kinetic

Of course. Anyone else who wants to use a Kineticism in their sig is more than welcome.

What? No one wants to use any of MrRant's constant witty comments that are throughout this board in their sigs?

I feel smarter!!111

on another note, I listen to that Fiona Apple cd nearly every day. Naturally, to see you suddenly review it some 4 years after it's release was a little disturbing.

Kinetic stole the idea of using the sig space for a personal archive from me, dammit! I want credit!

Guest Kinetic

I dug that review out of my filing cabinet because I needed something to put on the site and had no new ideas. It's a great record, though, and I had high hopes for Fiona before she fell off the face of the earth.

I actually did credit you in another thread, Incandenza. It's a tremendous idea that I absolutely had to steal.
