Guest NoCash Report post Posted September 1, 2002 This is somewhat inspired by JRs' comment about Hugh Morris. I mean, if he main events EVER then I can safely say that the WWE is screwed. But is there any hoss that you would think do well in the main event? I think Kane has the potential, but hes starting to come off as a "Showster" of sorts in that hes using comedy to get over. The crowd loves it, but they wont take him seriously if he keeps it up. This is not a matter of who would be the best in the ME role because I sure this will get flooded with Beniot, RVD and other non-hosses. Edit: Is there, are there, gram-ar is 4 sissies. Guest chirs3 Report post Posted September 1, 2002 Kane is one of the few hosses I like, but really, comedy will get him nowhere... FAST. And I don't really mind Test... I don't like him by any means, but I won't actively petition for his assassination if he's pushed (... again...)
Guest TheRockIsTheEuropeanChampion Report post Posted September 1, 2002 From all hosses that I can think of, Test is the only one I can stand. Why? ...Eh. Test really shouldn't be main-eventing, I think. No higher than the IC title... I HATE Kane. Hate hate hate. That's just me.
Guest RicFlairGlory Report post Posted September 1, 2002 Kane I could bear in the ME, if only because his matches CAN be good, as opposed to someone like Test, who's matches are guaranteed to bore the fuck out of me
Guest TheRockIsTheEuropeanChampion Report post Posted September 1, 2002 It's the exact opposite for me. I see kane, and it's like Albert or something. (*shrug*) Your avatar makes me long for the days of HBK.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted September 1, 2002 Well, Kane, Test, and I guess Brock are about the only big men I can watch and not be actively bored, but I don't see Test any higher than the IC Title, while the other two probably will be(and in Brock's case, already are) in the main event. Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted September 1, 2002 Mike Awesome anyone? He can stand to improve, and his best matches were beating the shit out of a little Japanese dude with little psychology involved. However...he's a HOSS and can do fucking planchas, a top rope splash, top rope powerbombs, etc. Okay...so he's got a mullet and an indy-ish name, and Gladiator isn't much better, but a repackaging could do him some good. Naturally he was completely fucked once he hit the big 2--but I seem to recall him being related to Hogan some way--anyone know about that?
Guest TheRockIsTheEuropeanChampion Report post Posted September 1, 2002 Oh huh. Mike Awesome kicked ass... I miss that big lug. I don't think he was actually related to Hogan.. more like he was related to an in-law or something. Or was it Horace?

I don't think he was actually related to Hogan.. more like he was related to an in-law or something. Or was it Horace? I heard it was something like that...not really that direct. Not that I would have wanted nepotism runnin' wild, but something better than coming in, getting punked out by Nash, then going to be "That 70's Guy." I hate that fucking show--and did Fox kill "That 80's Show" yet? You know...they massively promoted it while cancelling stuff like Family Guy and The Tick? *mutters* Lousy Fox... Guest HossSauce Report post Posted September 1, 2002 I would like to see the majority of the so-called "hosses" main eventing. Here is the breakdown: Hosses I want to see main eventing: Undertaker (He does), Kane (He will), Test, Rhyno, Kevin Nash (He will), Mike Awesome, Sean O'Haire, Brock Lesnar (He does), Billy Gunn (Just for the comedy) Hosses I DON'T want to see main eventing: Bull Buchanan, Albert, Bradshaw (I like him, but he's strictly a 3:00 RAW match guy), The Big Slow, Shawn Stasiak, Chuck Palumbo I wouldn't mind seeing Batista main event down the line, like when he expands his offense beyond a stiff clothesline and a spinebuster. How the fuck is Hugh Morrus considered a "hoss"? He's short and pudgy and has a pseudo-high flier style.

His new look and finisher finally have put him over the top for me. I still have high hopes for Randy Orton & Val Venis but neither one of them are hosses. Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted September 1, 2002 "Pseudo-high flyer?" He does a fat fuck moonsault every once in a while that hardly connects. If he can do a decent impression of Vader otherwise THEN maybe you'll have something there. And while I think Test sucks majorly, he used to actually try back in the day, soon after debuting and growing out of his green phase. With the fashion sense and size, and the hair and the flying elbowdrop, people joked he was the love child of the "2 Dudes with Attitudes." However, he never goes to the air anymore, using punchy-kicky and slow, boring offense, and the CANADIAN MAFIA KICK OF FEAR!~ Of course, he has Stacey--hey...maybe HHH stole his thunder and everything, but between the two it's not a hard decision. Plus he joins his two daddies in the "I'm fucking a Nitro Girl" club. Of course...David Flair was a past member. *ouch*

Could be good for a laugh I suppose. I didnt know for sure if Hugh Morrus was considered a hoss or not. I figured almost any big wrestler was one. Im not up on my Jim Rossonics. Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted September 1, 2002 I say Test or Kane, and preferrably Kane. Kane is the only plausible one, because Big Show has been made into a joke. The fans as a whole don't care about or remember anything Test does, so the clean slate factor works well with him should they give him a main event push. And it'll make Anglesault kill himself, but not before I get to meet the guy(as outlined in Random Observations!). Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest midnight_burn Report post Posted September 1, 2002 I don't mind Kane, he's probably the hoss i like most, and i wouldn't overly mind him in the main event scene. He's actually capable of goos matches even if he is carried to them, the likes of the Big Show or Bradshaw can't seem to have a good match if their life depended on it. If Rhyno's a hoss as well, i wouldn't be opposed to his presence in the main events.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted September 1, 2002 Rhyno's a manbeast, there's a difference. HOSSES~! are well, HOSSES~!. Manbeasts are bipedal I think. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge

Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted September 1, 2002 I would not mind seeing Kane or Test main event, and I can deal with Brock main eventing. Ultimately though, I would love to see Bull Buchanan main event, and, for the hell of it, put him over Jericho too, just to see the reaction of smark community to Bull Buchanan main eventing. That, in itself, could be quite funny. Sadly, despite me just joking around, I have a bad feeling that one day Bull WILL be main eventing, as the WWF forces him down our throats. Scary. Guest DragonflyKid Report post Posted September 1, 2002 If anyone is capable of doing a decent Vader impression it's Albert. I think he has the potential to be a really good big man. He does need new ring attire, a new name and needs to lose some weight but the potential to be a poor man's Vader is there IMO. Since his punches aren't anything special I suggest he starts using Vader hammers; I did like Mike Awesome in ECW but he is horrible now and has been boring since defecting to WCW. Despite the fact he can fly better than most any guy his size I don't see his upside. Henry should just have his contract bought out. I thought Buchanon was going to have a Cape Fear type gimmick? He is too plain as it is but he has gotten in great shape and can fly well for a guy his size. I had high hopes for Test as I used to think he had some good performances but I've been disappointed as of late. I remember being impressed when he took on Edge on Sunday night heat a while back, he looked great for a big man pulling out nice reversals, bumping well and working hard. I still believe he will be a star but he needs to improve like he had been doing. I don't like Bradshaw, I mark out for stiff lariats but having to sit through one of his matches isn't worth it. He isn't even a poor man's Stan Hansen.

If that match happneed right now, Trish would blow them out of the water.

Since his punches aren't anything special I suggest he starts using Vader hammers; HA! The damndest thing--since Albert is virtually useless in Smackdown! Just Bring It (PS2 game), I gave him Vader's moveset. He's strong and fairly quick in the game, so now he plays just like Vader. Didn't make him because there wasn't a decent mask in there to sub for his real one, plus leaves open an extra created wrestler slot. Vad-bert powerbombing Test out of the ring onto the floor a la Mike Awesome, Moonsaulting onto him, and backdrop-chokeslamming him...ahhh...
Guest buffybeast Report post Posted September 1, 2002 Albert is fine the way he is. He just needs a new moveset, name/gimmick, and an updated "look".
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted September 1, 2002 So let's fire him if he needs that much work done, or get him off of television. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest TheRockIsTheEuropeanChampion Report post Posted September 1, 2002 But what would become of my Albert banner? Oh, Buffy doesn't care !!! None of you do !!! ... Hosses as a rule seem to be pretty bad, most notably Bull & Albert. These two should go. Some hosses have room for improvement, like Brock (the Vanilla Hoss©). Mike Awesome should be the Mullet Keeng Of All Hosses.
Guest buffybeast Report post Posted September 1, 2002 Oh, that's right, you wanted to do a subliminal Albert banner. Where is it? And Albert does not need to be fired. He just needs a little work on the company's fault. He has tons of potential. Everyone says so.
