Drowning Pool is WMania theme song

Why the hell is "Any One Else But Me' by Drowning Pool the WrestleMania X8 theme song? Not only does the song's lyrics have NOTHING to do with wrestling/storylines (like 'My Way' did last year), but its a really slow song and kinda depressing to listen to.

 

That, and the album's almost a year old and I don't think it was even released as a single.

 

Isn't the whole point of PPV theme songs to: a) give each PPV a distinct theme while b) blatantly shilling for new releases by popular artists?

 

Choosing Drowning Pool does neither of those things, IMO.

 

So what do you think would be a good WM theme song?

Personally, I'd pick either the WM10 theme song or "It's Goin' Down" by the X-Ecutioners feat. Linkin Park.

Drowing Pool might even appear at WM to sing HHH's new theme music. Some have read into the fact that 'Tear Away' is the theme because they feel the spilt will happen there or on Raw.

Drowning Pool...eh..."Tear Away" is decent, but gets annoying VERY fast.

 

They should choose an UNDERGROUND band once in a while to, ya know, HELP THAT BAND OUT. Why not use Stuck Mojo's "Set The Tone" for at least ONE PPV?

i know its an old song, and maybe too many profanities, but if a PPV theme was Pantera's Fuckin' Hostile, or even a wrestlers theme, I would just shriek...uh i mean go ape shit
