Deep Fryers's

Recommended Posts

Guest El Satanico

I've had a deep fried whole turkey. Not cut up pieces of a turkey but the whole damn bird. It's not bad the skin is burnt tasting but the meat is juicy as hell.

This weekend i was at someone's house and they deep fried a turkey, shrooms, onion rings and cut up pieces of steak.

If you like sweet n sour chicken all you need is sweet n sour sauce and cut up pieces of chicken and you will have your own. Deep fry the chicken and use the sauce and it's just like you get at restaurants.

I've done that and it comes out pretty well. Never had deep fried turkey though. Have to try it. I could probably fit in one of those Cornish Game Hens thought. :D

I have one, but it kind of sucks. Gets the job done I guess. I usually just make chicken strips or french fries with it.

Chicken, fries, fish, shrimp, OH YEAH!! Mushrooms...

When I get my own deep fryer, I'm getting a big one. I'm also going to deep fry inedible objects.

Sneakers...

I don't have a deep fryer, but I don't really need one. My dad was this awesome chef that worked at this place called "Zaks" up until about 5 years ago. With all his knowledge of that places, he still manages to make me all this deep fried food without a deep frier.

You can deep fry just about anything.

The Chipshop's Fried Twinkie

Place Twinkie in refrigerator for cooling. Roll in flour, then roll in a batter of:

1 cup flour

1 tablespoon malt vinegar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

12 ounces water

Batter should be mixed until it is the consistency of a custard.

Drop the battered Twinkie into a deep fryer for about 90 seconds, just until the filling is starting to melt and the outside is a "nice golden brown."

Top with powdered sugar, cut in half on the bias and serve with fruit syrup..

Or you can replace the twinkie with your favorite candy bar (Snickers is the most prefered)

And don't forget, if you have a really good freezer, you can ball up a scoop of ice cream, coat it in coconut (shredded) and then return to the freezer to get really cold/hard/frozen.

Make sure you have clean oil/grease in the fryer and then get the ice cream ball from the freezer to the fryer as fast as possible and give it a quick fry untl the coconut gets golden brown (wont take long) and you have deep fried ice cream (an oxymoron, but its good)
