Guest Leena Report post Posted September 2, 2002 I mistakenly deleted my Sans Serif font, and it changed all the fonts on my desktop, folders, etc... to a really smart font that's difficult to read. I re-installed MS Sans Serif, but I can't get it back as my main font, and I can't change it all. I've asked around about this, and nobody knows, so I'm not expecting much. Any help would be appreciated.
Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Report post Posted September 2, 2002 Right click on the desktop, choose properities. The display properities should come up. Click on the Appearance tab, then the Advanced button. Scroll the Item bar until you find the text you want to change (about six options let you change the font,) then choose the font from the bar below. If that doesn't work then respond here and maybe I'll find something else that will. Hope this helps. (Minor edit)
Guest Leena Report post Posted September 2, 2002 I tried that. It has all my fonts to select in the drop down box, when I choose them, nothing happens. I go back to there, and it's blank everytime. I read something on here that says you have to re-install Windows to fix the problem. That's not an option for me, so I guess I'll have to live with it. Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Report post Posted September 3, 2002 What version of Windows are you using? If you are using XP, try changing to a different theme, hopefully one that has your desired font as default. If not, I think other versions have something similar as well. The only other thing I can come up with is if you have Microsoft Power Toys for windows, choose TweakUI and then the Repair option, then choose Repair Fonts. Hope this helps.
