Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2002 any comments about it, especially after reading my second match. Any suggestions or anything you want to offer?
Guest 5_moves_of_doom Report post Posted September 2, 2002 Not much besides the general stuff. Try to be more descriptive obviously, with more actual action rather than commentating. Your matches are generally okay at this point, but as for losing [two matches I believe?] don't worry about that at all. Plenty of JL'ers lose their first 2-5 matches, and come back afterwards. I say just keep trying, and also, REREAD your stuff, some of it sounds iffy, and a quick edit or two can fix that. What would really help is if you go up to the WF boards, and read a show or two from there, as reading other's matches REALLY helps. Read them in detail, and collect some general things that you can do to make your matches better from there.
Guest Tod deKindes Report post Posted September 2, 2002 Suicide King asking for a match to be wrestled fairly is quite unnacceptable. Sorry.
Guest 5_moves_of_doom Report post Posted September 3, 2002 Also, another tip is to write a few lines of commentary to start the show, basically "we're back!" from Axis, and one or two humorous zingers from Edwin and/or King. A little more emphasis on the selling of moves, and crowd's reaction also helps, as well as SLIGHTLY longer entrances, with more detail.
Guest HVilleThugg Report post Posted September 3, 2002 Wait until you get some longer word limits...then you'll be able to do the things that TNT has mentioned and give your matches the boost your looking for. Da "reading is overrated" H
