WWE Wednesday PPV

Recommended Posts

You'd figure that with TNA looming around, the WWE would try to subtlely fuck with them and put up some Wednesday shows.

One example of that would be a Wednesday Night Survivor Series (which would change the schedule of how they'd do stuff, with RAW being the last big show before it and SD being the 'live' Night-after)

You know it's a matter of time until the WWE tries to sabotage TNA. How long will it take?

Honestly, I just don't think that they'll do it like that... I don't think they consider TNA a serious threat.

If TNA stays around long enough, though... Then they may.

Even then, all they're getting is 30-50,000 buys. that a small chunk of the audience, like 1-2%

WWE recently did that with the show in Australia. They had a bunch of commercials here about it.

If NWA:TNA gets a TV Deal, you bet your ass I'd be watching that instead of some of the crap that WWE's been putting out lately

I might watch it. Of course, Russo still is the booker and that tends to make me not want to watch.

If TNA became a threat, I actually think Vince would give them space to grow.

Competiton is good.

And thats what Vince needs.

Vince may know competition is good deep down in his mind but he'd never allow it to grow if it became a threat.

We need one of the major stations (CBS/NBC) to pick up a TV PPV like WCW did with Clash of the Champions. I miss those!

What major network actually *would* want to pick up wrestling, anyway?

My guess is Fox. NBC/CBS seem to me like networks that don't want anything to do with wrestling.

Wasn't CBS supposed to show something around seven prime time WWF/WWE specials during the year as a result of the deal with Viacom?

Fo sheez,

O yeah, the Viacom deal. Huh.

I never heard anything about CBS and wrestling.

That would be strange...

NWA TNA sabotages themselves well enough. WWE doesn't need to do that. That's like purchasing a shotgun to get rid of your mosquito problem.

NICE~! ;)

Personally, I don't think NWA/TNA will be around long enough to become a blip in Vince's radar.

Unless he's looking to go shopping through their X Division...
