Guest BigPoppaKev Report post Posted September 2, 2002 If you were the WWE which wrestler(s) would you take from TNA? I would go right after Low-Ki and AJ Styles. I have heard AJ has signed some sort of a deal so that may not work. I also wouldn't like the WWE to raid talent from TNA. But, I think it will happen eventually. Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted September 2, 2002 First off, I'd like to say that I hope they don't raid ANYBODY from TNA. But, playing Devil's Advocate... LowKi, Red, and anybody else that gets a good crowd reaction.
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted September 2, 2002 The WWE did offer AJ a deal earlier this year (which he turned down, since it was a lowball developmental contract), and they already had Jerry Lynn and let him go. So it's their own damn fault that TNA has these guys. I don't think they would hire Red, he's way too small for them. Low-Ki is a possibility though.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted September 3, 2002 I dunno. Low Ki is something like 5'8". I think they're happy having Rey as the resident Short Guy. And I wouldn't like to see any of them in the WWE, because they certainly wouldn't get to wrestle like they're wrestling now. Exposure and success WOULD be nice for some of these guys, but it'd be even better if they could get it through TNA.
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted September 3, 2002 Low-Ki has done dark matches, most notably against Essa Rios about a year and a half ago. They know what he has to offer, but passed on him for whatever reason.
Guest eirejmcmahon Report post Posted September 3, 2002 Nobody. The WWE has a big enough roster as is.
Guest The Son of Sting Report post Posted September 3, 2002 I dont think there is anyone that WWE would want, they would only sign someone to hurt TNA rather than use the talent.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted September 3, 2002 LOw Ki won't go to the WWE. He's the RoH champ, and he's getting the push there, he'd never get in WWE.
Guest Dames Edna Report post Posted September 3, 2002 I could see Styles, Lynn, or Low Ki going to the WWE for financial security, and for some of the competition on Smackdown. Guerrero, Benoit, Mysterio, Noble, Helms, Moore, Chavo, Angle, Funaki, ect...are all great people to work with.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted September 3, 2002 if WWE did steal some the talent I doubt that they would feature any of them on a PPV. I remember watching Jerry Lynn who was the WWF Lightweight champ complaining during a WWF The World restuarant promo for not having a title defense the night of the PPV
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted September 4, 2002 (first ever post in the NWA folder) I heard that WWE passed on Low Ki because he's way too stiff for their liking. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted September 4, 2002 Gee, yet they let somebody like Bob Holly stay on the roster..who's only purpose is to be stiff.. Hypocrites.
Guest Dames Edna Report post Posted September 4, 2002 Well 2 years ago the WWE wouldn't have pushed Jamie Noble either. I don't know if it has to do with heyman, Malenko, or Finley working backstage - but there has been more of an emphasis put on cruiserweights. Hence why the TNA guys would be pretty attractive right now.
Guest Mole Report post Posted September 5, 2002 if WWE did steal some the talent I doubt that they would feature any of them on a PPV. I remember watching Jerry Lynn who was the WWF Lightweight champ complaining during a WWF The World restuarant promo for not having a title defense the night of the PPV Actually, I remember reading that Lynn said he didn't like WWE because he didn't get to wrestle enough. Either your a top guy, and you get to wrestle a lot, or you don't get shit. Low Ki did wrestle some dark matches. I remember from the Jan 7th Raw when HHH came back. He wrestled then, and kicked some ass. Back to the question, if WWE raids NWA's talent pool, they should take Low-Ki, Styles, Lynn, Amazing Red, and the main member of the Flying Elvises. From watching tonight, I really like Amazing Red and the main guy from FE. What is his name? They impressed me the most out of everyone.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted September 5, 2002 The main guy is Sonny Siaki, who would likely fit the traditional WWE style better than the other two. Jimmy Yang is my favorite Elvis... and Jorge Estrada...I don't care for.
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted September 7, 2002 "They are not WWF style" Jr on Low-Ki and some one else, maybe Christopher Daniels. Still the WWF shouldt fuck with the NWA, let them atleast live and let the talent grow huge before you steal them and misuse them.
