i like bret's ringwork more but i think austin's win was so much more! bret's win resulted in a feud w/ jerry lawler. austin's resulted in the rebirth of wrestling popularity.

Actually that's not true since KOTR was around long before it was on ppv and they still would have had it the following years regardless of Bret's win or not. Bret was already a former WWF champ by the time he won the first ppv KOTR so Austin's had more of a career impact.
