Guest Downhome Report post Posted September 3, 2002 Color me pissed, as tonight RAW just pushed me over the edge. Here I am, sitting watching what was a pretty good WWE RAW, and out comes a 10 year olds bedroom. Now I don't know about you, but that segment was quite possible the worst bit on WWE TV that I have ever seen, in my entire life. This includes all former mud matches, tuxeo matches, and yes, even the Vince Kiss My Ass club. If for nothing else, at least the former sometimes had at least SOME sort of point. Not tonight however, tonight was it. As the great-late Owen Hart would say, "enough is enough and it's time for a change!". I mean, really... ...a Lingerie Pillow Fight Match? Who in the flaming underworld of hell ever came up with THIS one!? Seriously people, if there are ever moments where I am truly embarassed to say that I am a full fledged, 100%, Pro. Wrestling fan, it is at moments like these. To make things that much worse (or one could say better, ass it COULD send WWE a message), the crowd was 100% silent, dead, sitting on their hands, NOT into it. Of course, Vince and Co. more than likely will take the sounds of the crickets to be simply that the fans were in such awe of the greatness before them, that it left them speechless, but whatever. I thought this trend of risque T & Sh*t was over, long dead, left behind with the majority of the "Attitude Era" material. We went quite some time without crap like what I saw on my TV tonight, but it has reared it's ugly head here lately, and it scares me, very VERY badly. I see a trend begining, where the segment right before the Main Event is left open for trash like what I saw tonight, and that is not pleasing me, at all. Hey Vince... ...we know Stacey is hot, and that Teri has nice nipples, we get the f*cking idea, we don't need yours and Jerry Lawler's fantasies being played out on OUR TV's, leave that for your post show activities, please. Do you wonder why your show is quickly entering the toilet of no return? Do you not sit at home at night and ask yourself just why it is that your ratings have turned to feces? Vince, I hate to break it to ya, but crap like this, well, it did NOT attribute to you becoming so succesfull at a time. It was the solid programs you put out, great matches, and intriguing storylines that brought the fans in. Why can't you smarten up and realize that no fan, not even the markish of marks want to truly see what was on WWE RAW tonight in that segment? Now pardon me Mr. McMahon... ...I'm off to watch some tapes of a little thing known as Pro. Wrestling, maybe you've heard of it? Sincerely, ...Downhome... Guest DrTom Report post Posted September 3, 2002 This includes all former mud matches, tuxeo matches, and yes, even the Vince Kiss My Ass club. I'll give you that tonight's segment was exceedingly pointless, but I'd rather sit thru it 100 times than watch the Finkel tuxedo/evening goen match debacle, or the ridiculous ego trip that was the Kiss My Ass club. Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted September 3, 2002 I actually liked that segment. It was pointless, but still. B)

Perhaps that part that I said was a bit extreme, but I still stand by it. At LEAST those other two instances helped further SOMETHING. The Fink/Lillian thing had a goal, to decide which annoucer would be on RAW, and the KMAC was at least an ATTEMPT to get Vince that much more over as a heel, and to lead to the "big" Rock/Rikishi "payoff". I'm not saying they are any better, but at least the TRIED to have a point... ...tonight, did nothing but try to make little boys horny, and immature teens to laugh at the statments and situations surrounding Jerry. Guest Downhome Report post Posted September 3, 2002 I actually liked that segment. It was pointless, but still. B) *sigh* I'm warning you all right now, I can easily turn into the next Anglesault, it wont take too much more to push me over the edge.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted September 3, 2002 While the KMA Club did have apoint, I'd rather watch Stacy and Terri(two women I despise) "fight" in a silly match then to EVER see Vince McMahon's bare ass on my TV EVER again.
Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted September 3, 2002 Yeah, there's really no contest with the Undertaker shoving JR's face into Vince's ass, I'd say. I'm pro-scantily clad women all the way.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted September 3, 2002 actually the Pillowfight match isn't as bad as the H bomb...hymen
Guest papacita Report post Posted September 3, 2002 I don't care much for cheap T & A, but I actually liked the pillow fight too. The combination of the women, Lawler's "refereeing", and the fact that Trish's talent wasn't wasted on this crap made it a lot easier to enjoy.
Guest candie45 Report post Posted September 3, 2002 The pillow fight was the lamest piece of shit I've seen. I changed the channel but the horny men forced me to change it back. Stupidest. Shit. Ever. Like ow! I just got body slammed onto a bed! Like omg! Not the feathers! Paaaiiinnn!!! It so reminded me of HHH/Taker at X7. *chokeslam onto cushion*
Guest Leena Report post Posted September 3, 2002 I just watched it, ugh. I don't understand how garbage like that attracts viewers. Luckily, I taped Raw tonight, FF does wonders.

Guest chirs3 Report post Posted September 3, 2002 Same here, on the "made me embarrassed to be a fan" bit. I was praying that my parents, watching TV upstairs, didn't accidentally come upon it, because I would NEVER hear the end of it. The ten minutes could have gone to the incomplete TripleH/Flair match (which was basically the first ten minutes of a thirty minute match). It could've gone to any number of things. But a lingerie pillow fight? I understand what Bischoff is doing, in storyline, playing the "Nobody cares about women's wrestling", and he'd rather do TNA, but this was just... stupid... Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2002 I don't mind seeing this.. it's sorta like a porno. In fact, you can see it in your own time, not in some sort of psuedo wrestling match
Guest SmarkySmark Report post Posted September 3, 2002 I was more offended by the hymen references. I was also praying my parents didn't turn over to see or hear that. Really do we need the word hymen said 100 times on a wrestling show?
Guest jester Report post Posted September 3, 2002 I hated the whole segment too. Hey, I love scantily clad women, but putting that before a main event killed the crowd. There were parts of the audience was dead silent. I mean, I could hear the popcorn popper at the confection stand it was that quiet. If they want to give me stroke material, do the occasional Divas specials and calendars. But keep this crap of my TV.
Guest candie45 Report post Posted September 3, 2002 I was more offended by the hymen references. I was also praying my parents didn't turn over to see or hear that. Really do we need the word hymen said 100 times on a wrestling show? My dad, who was watching in the other room came over and said I couldn't watch it anymore. He didn't mean it, but I was still embarassed, especially when that damn Lawler kept repeating it. And especially when I'm a girl. Stupid WWE.
Guest deadbeater Report post Posted September 3, 2002 Man I thought that Stacey would pull off that piledriver. It might have saved the match from the abyss.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted September 3, 2002 It amazes me how stupid they are sometimes..yet Vince has said he wants to get to a wider audience. Yeah, this stuff will do that.. (rolls eyes) Dumbass.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Report post Posted September 3, 2002 None of it offended me, the hymen stuff or the lingerie match... but I actually want to see some wrestling on my screen. Not Lawler carrying on his pervert act which died years ago, and definitely not the pointless t&a match.
Guest Nater Report post Posted September 3, 2002 if Brock ran in and F-5'd Lawler then i would spank to that.
Guest RicFlairGlory Report post Posted September 3, 2002 Thats fucking sick But anyways, my roommate was here while it was on, and he rarely looks at my TV, but during that match, his eyes were glued to the TV...
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted September 3, 2002 Somehow I missed all the hymen references, but the "match" was boring (somehow the idea of someone putting an alarm clock in a pillow to cheat in a pillow fight is hilarious though). I liked the tar & feather ending for some reason though, even if JR was just trying to pimp it as Castrol GTX.
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted September 3, 2002 I liked it too. I unfortunately found it more entertaining than most of the piss-poor show. Listening to JR try to call the match as if he wasn't disgusted was fun as well. The pillow match had more dynamic than the Mud match; more weapons were used, Lawler was a ref/commentator, uh... feathers were uh... also used. Call me low-brow, but I thought Lawler was actually pretty funny tonight. When the situation doesn't call for serious commentary, that's when he should break the comedy out. However, I do feel for the people who have to deal with their parents when watching stuff like this. Better have your remote handy and the volume low to listen for footsteps. Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted September 3, 2002 The bursting through the hymen line cracked me up. The Lawler/JR hymen conversation afterwards was fairly amusing, IMO. Not really quality entertainment or anything, but there aren't really many quality wrestlers on the show. HHH is Raw bothered me more than ANY lingerie match. Anyone bother to count how many segments he was in last night? I didn't but I'll try here from memory. Two matches, the opening interview, the backstage segment w/Uncle Eric and Jericho. "Screw Chris Jericho," sez Crips. Not to mention he "won" a world title..come ON. that's too much of anybody.
Guest notJames Report post Posted September 3, 2002 It's shit like the pillow fight, Chris Harvard's "hymen" reference, the Fink/Lillian stripper match, "Molly's got a big BUTT", and all the other non-wrestling "rope-in-the-LCD*-mouth-breathing-troglodytes" crap that they throw out there that makes me feel so sorry for Jim Ross, Trish Stratus, Molly, and Jazz. I think you can figure out why in each case. And not for nothing, but I think we all could have figured out Chris Harvard's intentions without going all "Human Sexuality 101" on us. Especially if it predicates Lawler's repetition of "hymen" ad nauseum. candie45: "Stupid WWE." Indeed. (*Lowest Common Denominator)
Guest AnnieEclectic Report post Posted September 3, 2002 Wow, if it weren't for Dreamer beating the crap out of Show, I would have had no qualms missing RAW. Next week I'm torn as I don't know whether to watch or not. If Dreamer is finally getting a solid push... I may have to watch. Fortunatly I missed all of this great wrestlecrap. -Annie
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted September 3, 2002 The pillowfight was the worst thing. Ever. Period. I've never seen a segment on RAW that left the crowd that dead. It was like Jerry Lawler doing awful stand-up comedy at a strip club. Has Vince been reading Artaud lately or something? Way too much of this stuff is blatant crap. I can't think think he's going for anything but the "make your audience feel pain" method here.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted September 3, 2002 Last night's Raw probably set a record for the use of the world "hymen" outside of possibly a medical documentary. Lawler really needs to die... And the thought was there with the Lingerie Pillow Fight crap, but they went to extra commercial time to set up the damn ring with that crap, and Stacy didn't even get nearly nekkid, so no one cares. Of course, given the choice, they should just skip this crap entirely, or make it a dark match--but NOOOOO! We needed even more crap tonight. And what were they fighting over anyway? It just seems that Stacy's a catty bitch heel who seems to have all these grudges with the 2 or 3 females on the show, and so we have to suffer through a crappy match for it. Stacy almost never wins, too...not that it matters. My cousins also take harder bumps when they play-wrestle. Ugh...
