Guest Youth N Asia Posted September 3, 2002 Report Posted September 3, 2002 Voting from the simi finals... In what looked to be a a slaughter from Freddy in the beginning turned out to be a much closer contest, but ultimatly Freddy won. Freddy 13 Jason 9 IN A SHOCKER! and in the first tie in Youth N Asia's First Annual Horror Bad Guy Movie Tourney...we have a tie. My thing was to let voting go till it got stale...the thread got stale and the voting stayed tied for the 2nd match of the finals. PINHEAD 11 TALLMAN 11 So the only way to be fair is to make this a 3 way dance...please if you vote tell why you picked the person, and if you have time give a description The only number that will matter in the end is what's on the voting poll thank you
Guest El Satanico Posted September 3, 2002 Report Posted September 3, 2002 I voted for The Tall Man I hated voting against Pinhead again, but he has that whole "i once was human" weakness that Freddy could take advantage of in the dream world. The Tall Man has no mental weaknesses that i know of that Freddy could tap into in the dream world so it would be a real world battle. The Tall Man has too many powers to get beaten by a child molester.
Guest C.H.U.D. Posted September 3, 2002 Report Posted September 3, 2002 I'll go with The Tall Man as well, because he was never a mainstream sellout. Or at least, that is my lame excuse.
Guest J*ingus Posted September 4, 2002 Report Posted September 4, 2002 Damn. I mean, damn. This is tough. Let me say that, as per usual, if the battle takes place in the dreamworld, Freddy wins, no matter what. But on terra firma, I'd have to give it to... The Tall Man Having practically no weaknesses whatsoever, possessing the most destructive powers, and surviving over and over again despite battling some of the most badasstic heroes in the horror realm (while Pinhead and Freddy get knocked over by screaming teenage girls), he gets the duke in this cosmic three-way-dance of the grotesque.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted September 5, 2002 Report Posted September 5, 2002 I scored the tie-breaker vote for The Tall Man! I finally rented and saw Phantasm, and although the movie itself was a bit odd (too many plot things that eventually went nowhere, or where they were trying to go didn't really work), I was impressed with the Tall Man. Think about it... Freddy can't even mess with a fetus or little kid anymore, he's lost it. I still don't know what the Tall Man is though... what was up with the parallel dimension thing where they sent the dwarves? Weird movie.
Guest El Satanico Posted September 5, 2002 Report Posted September 5, 2002 The sequels explain The Tall Man in more depth
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted September 5, 2002 Report Posted September 5, 2002 TALL MAN. Freddy? WHAT THE FUCK?! Seriously, Freddy's a pretty weak character if he can get the shit kicked out of him by YAPHET KOTTO. Sorry, Kotto's awesome and all, but he's always a pussy in the movies he's in. Since Pinhead lost to Tall Man last round in my book, Tall Man wins again. Oh yes, and evenflow, buy all of the Phantasm films, because it exposes that the original is really just a prologue to the tale. Seriously, the films can stand out individually (since they recap the previous films in the first 5-10 minutes anyways), and act as a mini-series.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted September 5, 2002 Report Posted September 5, 2002 Tall Man. BOY!!!!!!!
Guest Coffin Surfer Posted September 7, 2002 Report Posted September 7, 2002 In my book Tallman has already kicked Pinhead's ass. So this is Tallman vs. Freddy, and Freddy doesn't stand a chance. I don't think Freddy couldt even handle Reggie, let alone the Tallman. winner: Tallman
