I think he is, I mean who else is going to steal Paulies car in the middle of winter and *SPOILER* kindof In the commercial... are they implying that meadow and christopher get together? I'm not exactly looking forward to some incest-laden storyline, but it would add to the dysfunction and stress in Tony's life (and who wouldn't need a shrink after that?). I think that the Russian is either still alive, or WAS alive, and died on the way back to the city somehow (loss of blood, car accident, etc.). Maybe some type of storyline where the Russians find that foul play played a part, and call upon Tony for a "favor" to find the killer. That way, Paulie and Christopher cover their tracks. Ok this is something that always really confused me as well. One, because Tony often refers to Christopher as his "nephew" and two, because I distinctly remember Christopher referring to Carmela as his cousin in the first season. But I got the definitive answer from HBO: Sopranos. Tony refers to him as "nephew" and loves him like a son, but Christopher Moltisanti is actually Carmela's first cousin, once removed. His father was Carmela's cousin, Dickie Moltisanti, who was something of a mentor to the youthful Tony. So when the senior Moltisanti was shot to death, Tony, in turn, took Christopher under his wing. As Christopher remembers very little of his father - he was still in diapers when Dickie was killed - Tony's the closest thing he's ever had to a paternal figure. Reading the bios on the HBO page is actually very interesting. They mention a lot of things that have only been said on the show in passing, or sometimes not at all I think. For instance: The future Mrs. Christopher Moltisanti, Adriana La Cerva is a mobster's dream girl: smart and engaging, with a physique good enough to star at the Bada Bing. In addition, she's been around wise guys all her life - she's the niece of Jackie and Richie Aprile. Growing up she saw and heard plenty, and isn't at all repulsed by the LCN lifestyle. This is something I had forgotten about, that I believe they had mentioned in Season 2. You would think based on that, that SHE would at least question Richie's disappearance. Also, her big concern for Jackie Jr's funeral, was that she wore clothes that Christopher would find appopriate. Where was the grief over the death of her cousin? And it was mentioned that Christopher's fiance', Adrianna was Richie Aprile's niece...before he got whacked he warned Christopher about "putting his hands" on his neice when he first got outta the joint. In my original post I DID say that they mentioned it in Season 2. My point was that it was a glossed over fact. It seemed to be ignored at the end of Season 3 with regards to Jackie Jr's funeral. Kind of like it was an incidental fact that was just forgotten about. I'm pretty sure they NEVER brought up the most of the stuff I posted about Christopher. Plus Christopher is with that one chick(forgot her name" Chris isnt exactly loyal to Ade you know. its probably a red herring anyway. they dumped Balk just cause they didnt like her. i cant believe they reshot all her scenes with the new actress for the repeat and the dvd.
