Guest Jericholic82 Report post Posted September 4, 2002 Coming from a Yanks fan, all very good points. Iguess we will have to wait and see. But rember, who have the As actually beaten in this winning streak? I am not dissing them or anything, but think about it. And yea it is pretty sad for boston fans to latch on to another team, but at least you are conceding the fact that the Sox playoff hopes are over lol. MY PREDICTION: we will see a great postseason May the best team win Thank god there was no strike.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted September 4, 2002 So we're going to give the MVP to Tejada cause his teammates say he's good? We have the internet now. Why not document those hits? And I can remember A-Rod hitting a few game winning home runs himself. Really though, it all comes down your own beliefs. But if you think the MVP should go to the best player, period, its Rodriguez. Well I know Tejada got game winning hits the last two games. Those games mattered, any game winning hit A-Rod ever got means squat(not that it's his fault). Anyways Al's right it's a matter of opinion...I just feel that your team has to be in contention.

While not a part of this streak, the 2 series before the streak were against the Yankees and the Redsox. The A's took 2 of 3 from both teams. Lost the first in Toronto, and have won 20 straight since. Put it all together and you have a 24-3 record since August 6th.
