My review of Madden 2003

egarly awaiting this game since the 2002 game was so much fun and challenging, When I was able to get it on the day it came out, I was so happy, and wasn't disappointed, but there were some flaws to the game.

First of all is the intro. I mean you have probowels such as Owens saying EA Sports: Its in the game" and thats it...eh not what i really liked at all.

Second was the music, i mean Bon Jovi, yes...Andrew WK, hed (PE) um no, i couldn't tolerate it.

What I did like was the mini camps, improving your skill's and actually are really hard sometimes just plain pain in the ass, and if you get gold you get some kind of cheat you can use for one play, drive or quater, and it will also increase that stat by 25-100%.

Also was the creat a team and create a player feature which you can never go wrong with, though no create a stadium feature should be in next year I hope.

What I didn't like was this was not on-line capability, which with Fever and 2K3 does, Madden was behind for once.

Now to the gameplay. Nothing has changed, which that was good, but when you put penelties to the max, it seems like every time i gain a few yards on the ground I get a holding penelty. Not pleased with that. The graphics were amazing, best i've ever seen, and an improvement from last year.

The fantasy system is awesome, but if you don't play 15 minute quaters don't expect to see anyone really improve in their stats. Its best to sim all the way through.

I also love the challenge call even though sometimes i get pissed off when it goes the other way. (I had the ball in the enzone damnit!)

Now for what i really didn't like was the commentary. Very stale i find, and very different. Growing up from Pat Summerall and John Madden, damn I could not find a better place for all my games, but with Al Michaels...he's good, but it just doesn't seem right. I don't know i need to get use to it all.

What I rate it is 8.5/10 scuba steve's, a buy for sure, but not really a must have since there are better ones out there

I disagree. I hated Summerall in the game (and on TV too, most people would get at least a little excited when a Superbowl winning kick is made), the guy showed NO emotion at all. Al Michaels is very good in the game and is a breath of fresh air.

BTW, I have a review up at SmarkTalk ;) .
