Has anyone made the mistake of renting Cruel Intentions 2 yet? An ex made me rent it with her and it was the worst. I couldn't even watch it all.

Rocky 4 and 5. I still can't get over how Apollo Creed was killed off. He was easily the best non-Rocky character.

Take it back. Take it back right now. Rocky 5 yes, everyone can agree that sucked. But Rocky 4 was almost as good as the original and is my favorite as well as the favorite of all my friends. Drago was the PERFECT emotionally deprived Russian badass and the fans chanting for Rocky in Russia at the end was sweet. Sure, definitely not academy award material but awesome.

I would like to nominate the Jason Biggs movie Loser. Horrible. The theater was so empty that I was actually able to lay across three seats and watch the movie that way, and I still wanted to leave. No real plot, nothing doing=no reason to be made.

And to anyone who actually enjoyed that spew of Garbage known as Freddy Got Fingered. :stupid:

Some people, namely me, just aren't into the horror genre.

If you aren't "in" to the horror genre, then you shouldn't make uneducated comments like "there haven't been any good horror movies since Halloween".

Why make yourself sound retarded?

If you aren't into the genre then you'd really have no clue if there has been any good ones or not so your comment has no merit.

Did I hurt your feelings?

Fanboys are so sensitive. :D

He's got a point though. It'd be like a non-wrestling fan saying that any match after Hogan/Andre just wasn't any good. In this case, their opinion would be flat out wrong.

Strike Force, I've noticed that you seem to enjoy fucking with the hardcore fans on various subjects (horror movies, Benoit matches, etc). Why is that?

Sensitive? I'm just trying to help you protect yourself from sounding like an idiot.

Oh well, keep reaching for that rainbow.

I was pumped for the Super Mario Bros. movie but was very disappointed with it.

The movie didn't follow the game that much if at all. Luigi looks very different. The princess name is Stacy not Peach.

Nope, her name's Daisy. And she does show up later in the series, in Super Mario Land, though she's not the Mushroom Kingdom princess. Supposedly she's dating Luigi (Just like in the movie. Kinda scary how this film may have inspired an actual character, eh?).

Now that I feel secure in my dweebish wisdom, let's move on.

They don't wear their game costumes until the end and even then they Luigi wears a backwards cap.

Egads?! Really? My world is askew.

C'mon, it's not THAT big a deal. You could have nailed the movie for something more vital than "hip funster Luigi".

Where are the mushroom creatures?

Goombas are the "dinosaur guards" you spoke of earlier. They got a character overhaul in the movie. They like to dance the polka. La la la.

In short, the movie went against the basic plot of the game and that's why it sucked.

Most videogame movies do. Only one I think is worth anything is Mortal Kombat, which I heart alot for some reason. Heh.

The original Scream was good and all but i don't consider it a horror movie. Also the shitty movies that Scream gave birth to should be held against Scream.

Blah. That theory belongs in the same dungheap that holds Jaws responsible for brainless blockbuster movies. Scream is not accountable, IN ANY WAY, for crappy movies released after the fact. No bearing at all. Blame worthless scripts and studios that'll spawn anything for a buck, not the original source material.

I don't get why you wouldn't think of it as a "horror movie" either, since it's pretty much a self-referential slasher.

(cough) Actually, I said a long time ago that I can't stand horror movies either. Just something about the stupidity of it.

..and Benoit? Fanboy? Me? NEVER!

Glad to see there's somebody else out there with the opinion that Benoit does not = God.

Has anybody seen House Party 4 yet? I've seen it on the shelves for a few months now, but I'm too afraid to even pick up the box and read the back description...

Well i'm not saying Scream was directly responsible just that they should be held against Scream since they were completly influenced by Scream. Holding bad summer blockbuster against Jaws isn't really a good comparison since few of them(if any i can't remember them all) were totally influenced by Jaws.

Scary Movie is more of a horror movie then Scream and it wasn't a horror movie at all unless we have to include horror spoofs as horror. Well Scream is more of a combination of genre then anything but to me it's more of a "murder mystery" then a actual "horror" movie. But since it mixed together so many different things i guess what you consider it to be is a personal opinion.

Um...If this like rambled on and reads like a mess it's because it's late here and i'm on the way to bed.

Urk! Scary Movie. I'd forgotten about that little Wayans brothers' vanity project until you brought it up. Thanks. ;)

Doesn't make any sense. The original has nothing to do with crummy movies copy-catting from the formula. As for the sequels, Scream 2 was okay, and Scream 3 was.... was.... Scream 3 was.... the third film in the Scream series.

I'm not talking about Orca, Piranha, Alligator, or anything like that. It's the belief that some folks have that Jaws, a blockbuster special effects film, is responsible for paving over smaller movies and all the big budget schlock that came after. Like Jaws is responsible for MiB 2, or something equally stupid.

Jaws wan't a "dumb" movie, so it can't be held at fault if all producers saw was a big shark and buckets of blood.

Yeah i wasn't saying that bad copycats of Scream turns Scream into a worse movie because well that's not possible. I just think Scream should get at least SOME blame for that extremely bad period of stupid teen horror movies since it started the whole trend.

Yeah blaming Jaws for the bad summer blockbusters is really reaching.

If not Scream itself, then I certainly think its writer, Kevin Williamson, can be blamed for the teenybopper "horror" wannabe trend. He wrote Scream 1 & 2, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and The Faculty, plus he had his paws in Halloween H20 and Scream 3 as well. He's up there on the "people I would punch in the face if I could get away with it" list.
