Well I guess I have become the example today, as I got suspended from ebay for one month after having 2 "illegal" auctions cancelled days apart. My life will have no meaning for the next month, but at least it has shown that if you get caught repeated times in a short period of time, they won't fuck around. As if Vince really needs this money. Asshole. Oh well live and learn. Hope all the rest of my fellow bootleggers on this board will take this post as a warning. Later.

What exactly were you selling? Just curious what would constitute an illegal auction - PPV? Comp tape?

Well the first tape that got cancelled was the No Way Out PPV, but that was after someone used the buy it now. The second one was a tape with Summerslam '92 and Survivor Series '96 on it. I'm figuring that they suspended me cause they were cancelled just days apart from each other. Oh well the 30 days begin today.

WWFE has their guidelines posted at their eBay about me page.  Essentially, if you're not selling the store bought version you're screwed.  They could prevent this type of thing if they'd start that 24 hour wrestling network, a point I made about two weeks ago here

I totally agree with you and it's something I mentioned several times on the old board. I mean until they make a Wrestling channel, this kind of thing will not stop happening. But they want to pour their time and money into stupid shit like the nWo. Oh well, I don't have any regrets here. I was just trying to get the wrestling out to the kids out there.

i got suspened for 30 days about a year ago.... and i am stil suspended. lol

 

well, i have a new acct now and i am very carfull what i put up. they can get very touchy over there depending on who catches the auction.

Well I would get a new account but for several reasons, I'm gonna be trusting that I will be able to deal on ebay after 30 days. First off, I only have one credit card and if you get caught trying to get a new account during your suspension, you'll get banned indefinately. Secondly, I have about 140 feedbacks and I'll be dead before I start all over again. I dunno, if my suspension isn't over in 30 days, I'm gonna raise all hell.

I'm arguing as we speak in hopes of getting off before the 30 days are done.

 

Unfortunately, I do have REAL LEGAL TAPES with boxes and junk that I want rid of - but I can't sell 'em until I get my account back.

 

Guess that's the whole point of the suspension though. Gotta learn somehow. ;-)

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I don't make a habit out of selling bootlegs, just the monthly PPV and the ones I had up were dubs of some older PPV's from a deal that fell through a while back and I was just trying to rid of. I'm awaiting a new digital camera, as I have a ton of stuff I'm waiting to get rid of and I guess I got a little eager to sell something, so I went and sold the forbidden items. Oh well.

you have to say things like "Free tape"  I put up all ppvs from 2001 and they took it down.  Then the next week i put up "All wwf ppv from 2001 free"  and in the descriiption i said you are bidding on blank tapes.  for free i will put every wwf ppv from 2001 on them if you like.  they didnt take it off after that
