Jesse Ventura: Was great in WWF and continued in WCW. He was the Anti-Hulkamaniac with his quasi-shoot comments on the Orange Goblin. He remained a great color commentator in WCW before he was replaced by...

Bobby Heenan: Like Arn Anderson said" Bobby Heenan is funnier then most of the stand up comedians out there" Bobby Heenan was hillarious behind the mic and had excellent chemistry with Monsoon. Started to lose a little steam during his early WCW days but still he was an awesome color commentator. Until he became unmotivated and unhappy around 95-96 after that most of his jokes were hit or miss until he was replaced by the unworthy Mark Madden.

Heenan was funnier, Ventura made the stuff sound legit. He wins as a result. He also used "bout" instead of match. I LOVE that for some reason.

I loved them both so it is hard for me to choose.

I'm going to have to go with Ventura because together with Gorilla Monsoon, there was no better broadcast team ever. Ventura was so great at making you believe everything he was saying was true. His love of heels and hatred of Hogan made him very funny behind the mic, and his knowledge for the business ws unmatched.

Heenan was terrific and will always be known as the funniest man in pro wrestling to me. His skill in the booth weren't the greatest but her certainly made up for that with his quick humor and ability to make fun of anyone.

They both were really funny color guys, but I think Ventura should get the nod. Bobby wasn't half as good as putting guys over and being objective while still remaining a heel as Jesse was. Jesse broke out enough wrestling knowledge where he could commentate by himself and it wouldn't be an issue.

Bobby just because he was so damn funny. I've got a tape of WCW Worldwide from June 95...he had me laughing through pretty much the entire show.

This is a tough one for me, but I'm going with Ventura. I liked his work with both Gorilla Monsoon and Jim Ross a great deal. As I stated in another thread, I'd enjoy seeing him back behind the announce desk.

Heenan was funny, but Ventura really got you into the match. Ventura is probably the best "heel" announcer ever.

I voted for Jesse.Heenan had the quick wit but Jesse gets the nod because he added much more than just the one liners. All around he was much better.

Heenan, cause he made bad matches good with his witty comments. Ventura was also very good, but i havn't heard enough of him to pick him, so nod to heenan.

Damn, though choice. Both were very good, and i like both men, but i'll probably have to go with Ventura as the better color man, though Heenan was always funny.

Gotta go with Heenan. Half of my personal favourite commentary team of all time with Gorilla Monsoon.

Tough choice, both guys are legendary commentators in the world of wrestling.

Both had some VERY memorable moments, but I'll have to go with Jess'. His quazi-shoot comments on Hogan were GOLD.

I mark like a bitch for Heenan, and have heard very little Jesse... but I'll go with Ventura anyway. :)

Follower. -_-

I heard more of Heenan, and his work ruled. So, Heenan for me.

Gotta go with Ventura on this one. I always thought Bobby was funnier in studio segments like Prime Time Wrestling than his live color commentary.
