Guest DrTom Report post Posted September 5, 2002 But doesn't "no holds barred" mean "NO HOLDS BARRED"? To a point. There are still things that can get you banned no matter where you post them: bigotry/racism, death threats, and trolling being the chief offenses. I'm not going to tolerate either one when I see them, even if it's within the confines of NHB. It seems like every day somebody is getting banned for something that they posted in NHB. Most of the people being banned are trolls who were previously banned and managed to return under a different name. Maybe we should change it to the No Holds Barred Unless The Moderators Don't Like It In Which Case You Will Be Banned Forum. And maybe we should call it the No Holds Barred Except Those That Whiny Bitches Will Cry About Forum. Get over it. The moderating team has a responsibility to enforce standards of reason and decency where they see fit. Just because you can get away with more in NHB doesn't give you carte blanche to say whatever the hell you want. It'd be like advertising a match as "no holds barred, anything goes", and then Earl Hebner disqualifies someone for pissing him off. So now you're implying that we ban people for completely arbitrary reasons. Whatever. A lot of people piss me off, but I don't ban anyone without seeing a good reason for it. I'm confident the rest of the moderating team has similar standards when it comes to using their powers responsibly. LAME. I'm not the one carping about disruptive cretins getting banned from an internet message board.
