Just saw a preview, and I'm ABOUT it. Anthony Hopkins, Edward Norton, Harvey Keitel...plus it's gonna have Hannibal goodness.. I can't wait.

From the previews I've seen it's basicaly Manhunter with better know actors...and Manhunter was pretty good actually.

I hate remakes of movies only 10 years old or so anyway...Just didn't use the starpower back then

Hell it doesn't look much different from Silence of the Lambs.

But still it has Ed Norton and Harvey Keitel so i'm there.

I'd be looking forward to it more if it wasn't directed by Brett (Rush Hour 1 & 2) Rattner.

Saw Manhunter the other night for the first time, great movie up til the end. Hell that was an awful ending, just awful, makes me cringe just thinking about it.

Whats wrong with the ending? That whole innagodadivida whatever scene is one of my favorite scenes of all time.

It's a good cast, but ho boy this flick screams "made for the $", since it was already made a mere eight years ago. Ratner as the director seems weird, too.

The script could be absolutley awful but it'll still be watchable with the Hopkins, Nortons and Keitels running around. Hannibal wasn't so great but Hokins played the role so masterfully that I couldn't help but like the thing anyways.

I liked Hannibal a lot. Solely for the reason that they didn't try to make another Silence of the Lambs or yet another serial killer movie. They tried something different instead of doing the same tired old story we've all seen a million times. And I'd much rather watch than then yet another big budget glossy trying to find a serial killer before he kills again movie.

That's my biggest problem with Red Dragon. Manhunter is perfect the way it is. It's dark and grimey and that's the way a serial killer movie should be. Now here comes big budget Red Dragon with all it's prefab gloss and big fancy stars and it just looks way too friggin pretty for me to ever take serious as a serial killer movie.

Well just wait till the remakes of Henry: Portriat of a Serial Killer starring Brad Pitt and directed by Ron Howard and Ed Gein starring George Clooney and directed by Spielberg.

Well i really shouldn't joke about such terrible things as they could come true. Hell the sad part is that i'd go to see the Henry: Portriat of a Serial Killer remake because i like Brad Pitt in alot of his stuff. Well i like his strange character roles.

Yeah really. I was like..Brad Pitt as Henry? George Clooney as Ed Gein? I'd go see both of those movies. haha

I'm more of a Confessions of a Serial Killer guy than Portrait of a Serial Killer guy. Confessions is so dark and dirty and well, crappy looking. It's a lot more realistic than Henry. It's about the same guy but I like it a lot better. It feels like you're watching home movies of the guy instead of a movie.

I'm just disappointed that you all keep saying "Hopkins, Norton, Keitel" over and over again while ignoring Emily Watson, Mary-Louise Parker, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and the god among men Ralph Fiennes.

yeah in-a-gadda-da-vida was cool at the end of manhunter but charging through a window needlessly and that guy getting shot and standing there still was a bit ridicious

Didn't mention them because I didn't know they were involved.

Director choice is pretty odd, I agree.

I read the book for Red Dragon, I think I'm gonna go read the book a few more times while waiting for this movie.

The fact that this movie has the best ensemble cast since "Heat" makes it a must-watch on my list.

Actually, I liked that ending sequence. Having him jump through the window was cool. I don't think you have seen enough "really" bad endings. ;)
