Copying Audio From A Burned CD...

My problem:

 

Everyone's favourite William Regal fan (Mr. Barron) would really like to hear Booker T calling Hogan "nugga" or something, and I happen to have this sound file on a burned CD.

 

A CD that I burned in April, actually.

 

So I copied it using Windows Media Player, and it cuts 3/4 of the way through. I tried it using dBpowerAMP, and it came out to be four seconds...

 

So what am I doing wrong? What can I do?

Try Audiograbber ( http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/ ), it works great.

If that doesn't work or you don't want Audiograbber, make sure you closed the CD session when you burned it, if it isn't closed do it now. Other than that make sure that the track isn't damaged and you can hear the entire segment. If you can hear the segment you want, use Audiograbber or another program and record it with your microphone.

 

Hope that isn't a complete pile of dog shite I offered.

why don't you just do a disc copy if you have 2 CD-Rom/DVD drives?

Audiograbber is the best. You will not have any problems. -JM

If all else fails just do an analog record of the sound file... play the CD in your CD drive, make sure the CD audio is turned up and selected as your input in the record portion of your mixer, and then using any sound recording program press RECORD. You may need to start recording a little before that because it's hard to sync up, but it's really easy to delete the junk before it.
