I think that trend has been going on for ever Corey, we called those types of kids posers when I was in 8th grade. Not just pretend punks, but kids who dressed like skateboarders but didn't skate, etc... I wasn't a punk or a skateboarder BTW.

Are kids still wearing pants around their ass? I've always hated that.

Yeah.

At least here.... it annoys the hell out of me, but sometimes when I forget my belt it happens to me, too. <_<

What I specifically hated about that style of dress is that these people would wear their pants around their ass with the belt on. What's the fucking point?

My school is full of Gothic/Skater people with multicolored hair, mohawks, band shirts, all black, baggy pants, etc. AND FUCKING SPONGEBOB! I HATE THAT. The funny thing is, all these kids are trying to be different, but so many people are doing it that its starting to be all the same.

I graduated high school back in '98, and the thing I never got was that people would wear shirts that ranged from Count Chocula to Gumby, but they'd act like you had three heads if you wore a wrestling shirt to school. And now I see these people, and they're all "huge wrestling fans", or as I like to call them, bandwagon jumpers...

The trend with the "kidz" (and even some of the older set around here) still tends to be "who's wearing what brand name today". While I admit to being a brand name shopper, I'm not about to go and splurge $60 on something that'll shrink enough to fit my sister after a few washes. When mommy and daddy stop paying for these kids' clothes, they'll realize that Abercromibie isn't a necessity.

I try to mix and match my styles, usually getting a cool novelty shirt and wearing it under a button down so I still look semi-preppish. Not everyone can look good in a Garbage Pail Kids T shirt, ya know ;).

See, there are MORE fake punks this year because apparently the big brands have been pushing it as a look, right down to Cosmo Girl giving tips about how to "Add A Little Punk So You Stand Out."

I like giving these people flyers to local shows and then beating the shit out of them in the pit.
