For all you bickering about what the wedding is

Is Rico supposed to be gay still? I didn't see tonight, but lately, he's toned down his ambiguousness.

He's toned down the act a LOT lately, but he still sounded pretty gay when they did the "commitment proposal" skit.

maybe it'll turn out that this was just a very clever scheme on the part of Chuck Palumbo and he'll drop a moose on Billy Gunn, thus ending his career

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Well, I hope they somehow manage to salvage this bad angle, but I have a feeling that that this angle shall end up being pretty crappy...but hey at least it is not Tajiri jobbing to Mark Henry. :bounce:

So wait... Chuck proposed to Billy. How much you wanna bet that Billy comes down in some wedding gown wearing the Gay version of "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue." My guess is it's going to be "something 'blew'"

Something old: Smokin' Gunns chaps

Something new: New Billy t-shirt

Something borrowed: Kurt Angle's wig

Something blue: Mark Henry (well, his tights are blue)

so, AS, did you give yourself the "Undisputed Title" tagline or did you get to it by posting alot?

I figure that it'll turn out to be a cermony to make them TAG TEAM partners for life. That's what this is all going to turn out to be.

Anyone else thinking that either Billy or Chuck is cheating on the other with Rico?

A gay swerve, literally.

Billy and Chuck are getting married? :o Good for them. B-) I'll just change the channel when the wedding is taking place, or, I just won't watch Smackdown at all.

That's exactly what will happen. It is the same thing that Vince Russo was gonna do with Too Much (Taylor and Christopher) but McMahon shot it down. Too bad he didn't do the same thing when the writers tried to rip off a Russo idea that was dumb in the first place.

I was kind of hoping after Chuck proposed that Billy would have came back with "WHAT?! I ain't gay!" then attacks Chuck for being a sissy

THAT'S what the gimmick should have been all about...they act gay as hell but yet claim to be "All about the chicks!"...could have been funnier then just doing the obvious

Looks like Vince'll get that wedding he wanted...since the one with Too Much never happend

Am I the only Too Much mark here?

this is off topic...but

DANCE ROCKABILLY DANCE!!!

If anything, I think that Billy will probably attack Chuck and turn face, thus starting a Billy vs. Chuck fued leading into a match at Unforgiven. Yep, if that happens, Chuck starts to slowly go down the ranks in the WWE.

The way I see it, WWE is just doing this to bust the PTC's balls. For all the dumb shit they had to go through for almost 2 years, I say let them have the last laugh if they want to. Think about it, most conservative Christian groups hate gays, but they can't really say "Gays should be taken off of tv" because that would make them sound really ignorant and they would lose a lot of support. So their hands are tied.

Yeah, just what we need, "Suck It!" back in the lexicon of the WWE

Keep that drugged-up no-talent Road Dogg far, far away from the WWE.

Here's what they should have done...

Billy starts dating a girl (Dawn Marie, Jackie Gayda, whoever) and Chuck is obviously jealous. He tags along on their dates, sits in between them at movies and restaurants, lies about Billy not being there when the girl comes around looking for him, talks trash about the girl when it's just him and Billy around, etc. At the same time, Billy doesn't seem too into the girl. It's like he WANTS to like her, but just can't get over the hump. Eventually, this leads to Chuck being like, "I can't sit there and watch this any longer! Billy, I love you!" Then they can do the marriage thing or whatever.

That would have been alot more entertaining, but I understand that expecting Billy Gunn, Chuck Palumbo, and any WWE Diva to show acting ability would be a stretch.

I guess you missed him on American Gladiators. That is Rico's real voice.

Anyway with Michael Cole actually referring to the ceremony as a same sex marriage, it look like the WWE is actually going to though with this and have two wrestlers pretend to be married. Personally I don't see it as being any worse than any of the other gay characters played on TV these days. It's only a job right.

They wouldn't DARE pump out a crad that has

Brock/Taker

Billy/Chuck

Some Kane/Test/Bradashaw combination

would they?

I don't think Minnesota allows same-sex marriages, that's why they have to do a commitment ceremony. :-)

So are they going to say "I now pronounce you guy and other guy" or what?

So let me see if I got this right....Vince wants to do a same-sex marriage on one of his wrestling shows, correct ? Okay.....

Now, I think it's reasonable to assume that just about 95%, if not more, of the people who watch wrestling are men. Which begs the question....what guy would want to watch a FRIGGIN MALE WEDDING ON THEIR TV ?!

See, if they would go for the same-sex marriage, why not a lesbian marriage ? I agree that this would probably suck since Vince isn't bold enough to do anything too hot with this ( I would think kissing would be out of the question  ) But hell, I would THINK it'd be better to do that kind of marriage than one between Billy and Chuck if you had to do one at all.

I seriously think this angle has no upside. Nobody cares about Billy and Chuck. Nobody will care if they get married. Nobody will care if Billy leaves Chuck at the altar. Nobody will care if Rico runs away with Billy. Gay weddings are not something you put on a male show if you hope to boost ratings. Once again, Vince demonstrates that his shows are all about entertaining HIMSELF than it is about entertaining the fans.

Lesbians are less offensive than gays IMO. I mean, you always hear about guys liking lesbian porn, but ask a girl if they watch gay porn and they'll be like "eww gross that's disgusting" and all. I think it's because the general idea is that girls are more affectionate people whereas guys are just about sex. So if WWE did a lesbian "commitment ceremony" I would not be up in arms, unless it was between Linda Miles and Jackie Gayda, because...eww, they're ugly.

But anyway, back on topic, my guess in that something interferes in the ceremony. I mean, come on, they don't even have last names!

But see, in order to have someone interfere, there has to be some requirements:

a) He can't be a Main Eventer or even an Upper Midcarder

b) He would need to be prepared to start a feud with Gunn or Palumbo

c) The fans would need to care about him

d) It would need to make SENSE !

Besides Rico stopping the wedding....what other answers are there ? Road Dogg isn't realistic, so I don't see any other solution. Am I forgetting someone ?
