"Witchblade" Sliced by TNT

 

Now I don't even like Witchblade but the damn thing was drawing 2.0's (like Nitro) and they canceled it? WTF? Its not spectacular but it is a at least solid for cable TV. Who ever is running the TNT division needs to be fired.

TNT really should just play the following shows:

 

· Law & Order

· NBA Basketball

· Movies starring Tom Hanks

· and old Kung-Fu movies.

 

Then TNT would become the greatest television network in America.

 

While it is extremely dumb to get rid of a show with a solid rating like that, I wished cancellation on Witchblade as soon as I heard about it.

"Witchblade" was doomed to fail as soon as it was shown. Why? Because the only people that would watch it would be the fans of the comic. And guess what? They changed half of the comic around so it could be more acceptable to TV standards. Sorry, but when you need to change more then 3 things from a comic-to-TV program just so you feel secure about being able to show it on-air without backlash, you shouldn't even bother.

The lead actress, (Forget her name) had to go into drug rehab. One of the factors as to why it was cancelled.

I never got the big deal about witchblade. A couple of my friends loved that show. I watched it a couple times and never really enjoyed the show. All I can say is bring on the Law & Order baby.

I really dug this show. And I'm actually someone who DOESN'T like the comic.

 

It was a solid show. It got good ratings. And they only made 13 fucking episodes a year! Was it really THAT HARD to keep it going? Shit, I can only hope Sci-Fi stops running goddamn "Stargage SG1" episodes and buys up this show to stick on their network.

 

TNT is a really, really ass-backwards network. Just ask Joe Michael Straczynski, and the struggles he went through first with "Babylon 5" and then "Crusade".
