PROMO: Fire and Ice, Ice and Fire

Guest Rabbi_wilson13

Darkness. It has a hold over the Canadian hotel room as Chris Wilson sits in the living area, lounging in an open black robe and boxers on a large black leather couch, the only defender of light being the glow coming from a large television. There’s a DVD case from “Snake Eyes 2001” lying on the coffee table and the remote is clasped tightly in his hands. A pair of cold, hardened and intelligent eyes locked with the images on the screen. Images from long ago. Back when a lowly Hardcore Gamer’s champion had the nerve to challenge the commissioner. The former champion. The deadly weapon, himself…

Divefire: Both of these men have had a severe amount of pain inflicted on them during this matchup, and I would have to say it would affect Outcast most. He hasn’t wrestled consistently for over a month, while Wilson has been going at these matches twice a week. Maybe two months ago I would say Outcast was in better condition, but not now.

NTD: Outcast drags Wilson up to his feet and puts him in a waistlock. Wilson comprehends what is coming and quickly spins out of it, locking Outcast in a full nelson.

Curry: Wilson looking for the Platinum Nightmares, but Outcast breaks his arm free and takes him over with the Retribution-no he doesn’t as Wilson spins around out of it. Outcast tries to take down Wilson with a clothesline but he ducks it and puts Outcast in another full nelson. He prepares to plant Outcast on the mat, with the adept technical wrestler pulls his arm free and spins Wilson to the mat, locked in the Incapacitator!

Divefire: Holy…I’m not even sure how he did that. But what matters is Wilson is far away from the ropes with Incapacitator tearing away at his shoulder. He is inching his way closer, but I don’t think he can withstand the pain.

Curry: I’d tend to agree, but Wilson is a possessed man. He is pulling himself closer and closer to the ropes, trying to get up as he does. Outcast won’t allow it, shifting some of his body weight to dig into Wilson’s side as he wrenches back with his lethal hold. Wilson is close to the ropes, but he looks ready to tap.

NTD: I don’t think Wilson can hold out much longer. His arm is hovering a few inches above the mat, the referee waiting for him to tap it and stop the pain. But Wilson has a gut check as he reaches out and grabs the bottom rope, causing the crowd to moan loudly as Outcast is once again forced to break the hold.

Curry: Wilson is back to his feet, trying to work out the kinks in his shoulder. It’s going to be hard for him to recover from that and Outcast knows it. He tries for an Irish whip, but Wilson reverses. Wilson then telegraphs a back body drop and Outcast simply kicks up towards his head, but Wilson is ready! He grabs Outcast’s foot and twists him to the mat with dragon screw leg takedown!

Divefire: This doesn’t look good for Outcast as he is trapped in the middle of the ring with Wilson holding onto his bad leg. He hooks his leg around and falls back…putting Outcast into the figure four leg lock!

[Outcast howls in pain as his leg feels white hot, Wilson’s submission hold tearing at it. His only hope is to make it to the ropes. The crowd realizes it as well, breaking into loud chants of “Outcast” and clapping their hands. Outcast lies back trying to take some pressure off of leg, but by doing so puts his shoulders down. One..

Two..

Thre…at the last second, Outcast realizes what is having and lifts them back up, but in doing so puts more pain on his leg. He strains for the ropes but is still inches short. Using all of the strength he has left in his aching arms, he pushes himself towards the ropes. He reaches out, but falls a few inches short! He looks prepared to tap, but instead makes one last lunge…AND GRABS THE ROPE!]

Curry: The crowd here is on fire as Wilson is forced to release the hold. Outcast is pulling himself into the ropes, trying to rest a few moments, but Wilson looks down at him and looks like he just got an idea.

Divefire: I don’t like the looks of this..

[Without wasting another moment, Wilson grabs the bad leg, wraps it up and drops back to the mat in a figure four! The crowd is shocked as the referee tries to break the hold, but he is failing miserably.]

Curry: What the hell? He can’t win the match like this as long as Outcast is wrapped in the ropes…

NTD: Ingenious. He’s going to tear apart Outcast’s leg, actually using the Hardcore stip to his advantage. What’s the ref going to do, DQ him?

Divefire: It’s an amazing idea, but Outcast is hurting. He’s been in that hold for going on thirty seconds and the pain has to be unbearable.

Curry: Anyone that has been locked in that hold before knows what it feels like, but imagine it with the bad leg Outcast has been working on most of the match. Wilson lifts his body up, putting more pressure on Outcast, who is screaming in pain. There is nothing the ref can do…thank god! Wilson releases the hold..

NTD: Don’t sh*t your pants just yet, Curry. Wilson just grabbed the second chair Outcast brought into the ring and is locking it over his mangled knee. Outcast has pulled his torso in between the bottom and middle rope, and that has proved to be a big mistake as Wilson turns the ropes around, locking them around Outcast’s chest like a vise. He can’t move!

Divefire: Wilson is going up onto the top rope…this is disgusting. And the referee is calling for the bell. I can’t blame him as Outcast is in no shape to continue.

[Wilson hops off the top rope and shoves the referee to the ground, cursing at him. He heads back towards the ropes and yells at Funyon, who tosses him his mike.]

Wilson – “Don’t listen to this little piss ant. This match is going to continue until there is a winner. Now either let this match continue, or get me a replacement. Make your choice because in about a minute, I’m going to break his leg.”

[Wilson climbs back up onto the top rope, mike in hand waiting impatiently. The arena is quiet, waiting to see if anyone is going to save Outcast, who is trapped in the ropes, mind out of it from all of the pain. Suddenly, a thick British accent is heard.]

“I’ll take his place.”

[The arena is shocked as Divefire is standing up at the commentary table, headset off and microphone in hand.]

Divefire – “Let him go, I’ll take his place. You can fight me instead.”

Curry: Sir, please don’t….

[Wilson is grinning from ear to ear.]

Wilson – “Oh will you now? I thought you were injured, Mr. Big Shot? Couldn’t fight me so you decided to do commentary?

Divefire – “I’m willing to fight you right now. What more do you want?”

Wilson – “Fine, get in here. And hurry.”

Curry: Divefire, don’t do this. This is insane. He hasn’t wrestled in two months!

[Divefire rounds the table and climbs the steps into the ring. As he prepares to climb through the ropes, Wilson leaps off the top and lands on the chair wrapped around the leg of Outcast! The crowd boos loudly as a loud “CRACK” echoes throughout the arena, unsure if the sound was coming from the chair or Outcast’s leg. Divefire runs at Wilson and knocks him down with a clothesline to a big pop. Wilson leaps right back to his feet and stares at Wilson, a twisted look in his eye. Outcast had passed out from the pain and the officials and EMTs were trying to get him out of the ring.]

Wilson smiled to himself. Those had been the days. Before the Carnies, before people had realized what he was. What he was capable of. He really did owe Divefire quite a bit. His demise had springboarded Wilson’s career to the stars…

Curry: This match has been dominated by Divefire, which you have to give to the fatigue factor which Wilson has. Folks, this will not be a long match up. Divefire has some major ring rust and Wilson was just through a war with Outcast. The winner will be the first man to hit something big and capitalize.

NTD: Divefire is trying to be that man, as he is lighting Wilson up with some stiff kicks to his legs. He leaps in the air and hits a spinning back kick to Wilson’s stomach, knocking him to his knees. Divefire bounces off the ropes to get some momentum and spins Wilson to the mat with a neckbreaker!

[The crowd breaks into loud chants of “Let’s Go Divefire- clap, clap, clap clap clap” as the commissioner pulls a woozy Wilson up to his feet and cuts into his chest with some knife edge chops. Another whip into the corner and Divefire tries to follow with a clothesline. Wilson moves out of the way, and whips Divefire with all of his strength across the ring, falling to his knees as he does so. The effort pays off as Divefire hits the opposite corner with enough impact that he Flair bumps over the top rope and tumbles to the outside. Wilson collapses in the corner, trying to regroup.]

[On the outside, Divefire slowly gets to his feet and grabs another chair before sliding into the ring. Wilson what might happen and runs at Divefire why he is still on his hands and knees and delivers a hard kick to his side, which flips Divefire over. The crowd boos as Wilson pulls Divefire up, sets him up and takes him over with a hard Northern lights suplex. He bridges it. One..

Two..

And he only gets a two as Divefire rolls off of his shoulder. Wilson tries to grab him, but the quicker Divefire sidesteps him and puts him in a side Russian leg sweep position. Divefire attempts the Burn Out, but cannot connect with the first elbow as Wilson blocks it and turns around, nearly decapitating Divefire with his forearm as he connects with a clothesline.]

NTD: Wilson hit a big move there and has stopped any momentum Divefire had. He unfolds another chair and sits it in the middle of the ring. He pulls the hurting Divefire up and lifts him up, looking for a big time powerbomb. But Divefire is not out of it, as he grabs Wilson, spins him around and lands a tornado DDT!

Curry: But in the process of hitting the tornado DDT, he spun Wilson’s head from the chair to the mat, but the move was still devastating. Wilson rolls over on his back, clutching his head as Divefire begins to climb to the top. He gets up to the top, takes a deep breath and leaps off the top, completing a 360 and coming down with a leg drop….AND HITS THE DIVEBOMB RIGHT ACROSS WILSON’S THROAT! He makes the cover…One..

Two…

Thr…Wilson kicks out and the crowd can’t believe it. Frankly, neither can I.

NTD: Divefire doesn’t bother arguing with the official as he pulls Wilson up and whips him against the ropes. He attempts to drop toe Wilson into the chair as he rebounds, but Wilson breaks his ankle free and drives Divefire’s head into the chair with a one-handed bulldog! Divefire’s forehead just dented that chair seat and Wilson has just saved this match.

[Wilson turns and sees the table lying beside the ropes from what seems like an eternity ago. He goes over and begins to unfold one of the legs. He locks the brace, but as he attends to the second set up legs, Divefire gets back to his feet. He runs to the side of the ring opposite and sprints towards him. He leaps nearly a third of the way across the ring from Wilson and drills him in the back with a dropkick square in the back. Wilson is hung out to dry, leaning precariously over top of the middle rope. Divefire bounces off the middle rope, flips over the top, turns around and drops to the floor, but catching Wilson’s head and hanging him on the top on his way down. Most of the crowd stands clapping at the amazing move by Divefire.]

[Wilson’s head is still caught on the middle rope and Divefire sees this as his to capitalize. He goes up top again, this time preparing to drop an elbow into the spine of Wilson. He leaps off the top, but at the last second Wilson pulls back and Divefire catches his torso right on the extended table legs. Wilson sees this as his opportunity as he puts Divefire in a gutwrench and suplexs him back, connecting with a gordbuster. He rolls the commissioner over and makes the cover. One..

Two..

Th…Divefire reaches down deep and kicks out, continuing the match.]

Curry: Wilson can’t believe he didn’t get a three count there and he is grabbing the third steel folding chair. He turns around as Divefire gets slowly to his feet, and connects with a hard shot to his skull! Divefire drops to his knees as Wilson swings at him mercilessly with the chair, connecting all across his body. Divefire rolls over on his side and Wilson plants him with three more stinging chair shots, denting the chair. He rolls Divefire over after his sick beating and hooks the leg, satisfied with his work. One…

Two…

Three…NO, it’s not quite three as Divefire kicks out! Wilson is in shock as he can’t believe he didn’t win the match right there.

NTD: Wilson is screaming at the referee and he gets up, wrapping his hands around the officials neck. He drops to his neck, pleading with Wilson. Divefire is slowly getting up, and he sees an opening, rolling Wilson over with a school boy and standing on top of him..One..

Two..

Thr…no, not quite! Wilson flips Divefire off of him as he rolls back to his feet. Divefire runs at Wilson and ducks his clothesline. He leaps into the air and connects behind Wilson’s ear with a Tornado Kick, dropping both men to the mat.

Curry: These two men have busted out a wide arsenal of moves and brutality, trying to keep the other down. This is truly an epic match up. I thought it would most definitely be over by now. Divefire is holding onto his ribs, as Wilson just lies motionless, staring up at the lights. Both men are making there way to their feet, very slowly. Divefire charges Wilson with a clothesline, but Wilson ducks it and flashes a superkick. Divefire catches it with both hands, spins Wilson around and kicks him in the gut. He locks him in a side headlock and turns him up for a Twist of Fate, but Wilson wraps him up in a waist lock and powers him over with a release German suplex!

NTD: Why does it always come back to this damn technical wrestling? Divefire is down and Wilson is climbing up onto the second rope. He doesn’t stay there long as he leaps down and drives a forearm into Divefire’s chest! That’s the way, laddy!

Curry: Wilson isn’t going for the cover, but he is instead making his way across the ring, a few paces away from Divefire. As his opponent gets to his feet, Wilson charges and wraps him up, looking for the Last Resort….but Divefire shoots out a palm strike which connected with Wilson’s chest and both men are back down on the mat.

NTD: Was that the Flame Out? I couldn’t tell. It happened pretty quick.

Curry: Whatever it was, Wilson is down on the mat and it doesn’t look like Divefire has enough energy to make the cover. Wilson is using the ropes to get to his feet as Divefire is still down. Wilson charges and Divefire grabs his ankle and rolls him…RIGHT INTO THE AFTERBURN!

NTD: Dear god, no! Divefire’s modified ankle lock, the move that won him the title against Pimp Daddy Sarp, is cranking on Wilson’s leg and the champion is writhing in agony, trying to get to the ropes.

Curry: Divefire is applying all the pressure that he can to Wilson’s lower leg, but the champion is refusing to tap. He is struggling towards the rope, but he seems like his hand is a mile away. Using both arms, Wilson is military crawling to the ropes, trying to make his way to freedom. The crowd here is on its feet, anticipating the win for Divefire. Wilson lunges for the rope..and falls short! He just has a few more inches to make it….and he does! Wilson grabs the ropes and the crowd is booing loudly as Divefire, unlike Wilson early, releases the hold.

Wilson reached down and gingerly touched his ankle, before realizing what he was doing and quickly pulling his hand back up. Fire and ice. Ice and fire. It had been Divefire who’d knocked Wilson out of the Corporation at the command of Jayson. The dirty bastard. It was all coming back now. It really had been Wilson gaining his revenge when he stepped to the big, bad commissioner. People said he didn’t have a chance in hell. Well, only a moron goes in without a plan...

[Divefire goes to the corner and signals for the Fire Power, causing the rowdy crowd to scream even louder. Wilson slowly gets to his hands and knees, but all of a sudden the crowd’s cheers turn into screams of warning. Divefire has no time to react as a massive hand wraps around his neck. Divefire looks over to see the massive form of the HVille Thugg stepping over the top rope! The massive man lifts Divefire up in the air, spins for a few seconds then drives Divefire into the mat with the Untamed.]

Curry: HVILLE THUGG! HVILLE THUGG! The former JL World Champion is here in Las Vegas and he’s attacking the commissioner! He just put Divefire into the position for an inverted DDT, but he instead lifts him in air, grabs him around the waistline and plants Divefire in the center of the ring with the Thugg Passion!

NTD: I can’t believe we’re actually seeing Thugg in a WF ring. With the incoming JL and ML merge, he would surely be a factor. But what is he doing here attacking Divefire?

[NTD’s question is soon answered as Wilson gets to his feet, a little wobbly, and sees the Thugg. Another smile crosses Wilson face as he extends his hand…and the Thugg shakes it! The crowd is screaming for Wilson and Thugg’s blood as Wilson sets up the table near the corner and yells something at Thugg.]

Curry: These two are in cahoots? I can’t believe it…how did Wilson get Thugg to the….

NTD: Calm down, Curry. What matters is that right now we’re going to see the first table of this match. How cool is that? Wilson is sitting on top rope and Thugg is handing him Diveifre. Wilson locks him in a full nelson, stands up…THEN DROPS DIVEFIRE THROUGH THE TABLE WITH A SUPER NIGHTMARE! HAHA..This is great!

Curry: This is hardly what I’d called great. Wilson finally makes the cover, and the shocked referee drops down to make the count. ONE…

TWO…

THREE! Wilson has just cheated Divefire!

DING DING DING

Funyon – “Your winner of this bout as a result of a pinfall..and still Hardcore Gamer’s Champion…CHRIS WILSOOOON! (Crowd boos and hisses)

NTD: Either way, Wilson is still our IGNWF Hardcore Gamer’s champion. With a little help from Thugg, it doesn’t really matter.

Curry: But this might matter. Thugg is now sitting on the top rope and motioning for the fallen body of Thugg. Wilson obliges, handing listless form up to his accomplice. Thugg stands up…AND CRUMPLES DIVEFIRE UP LIKE AN ACCORDION AS HE CONNECTS WITH A SUPER BOMB!

NTD: Yeah, your right. That could make a difference, because I sure as hell don’t see Divefire ever getting up after that.

NTD’s words rang through Wilson’s ears.

…ever getting up after that...

He was supposed to have been dead! They’d seen him die. The entire federation had known. Divefire was gone, goddammit, but he wouldn’t stay dead. Now he would. It would be Wilson’s last act in the federation, but with all his power…

“You’re cheating on me with a British psycho and a cripple from the hood? I didn’t think you swung that way, darling.”

Wilson nearly has a heart attack as he turns around. The Hardcore Queen herself is sauntering out of their bedroom, tiny bathrobe tied around her hard, fit body.

“Sorry, love. Did I wake you?”

Annie walked around the couch and plopped down beside Wilson, resting her head on his bare chest.

“No, that I managed on my own when I realized I was the only one in that big ol’ bed.” She looked up at the leader of the Magnificent Seven. “Get tired of my company?”

He leaned downed and kissed her, looking up at the television as he pressed the power button on the remote and dropped the room into darkness.

“Oh, I’m ashamed you even asked that. I was just rekindling some old memories. I thought you would be exhausted after tonight…”

“Me?!” Annie is shocked. “You’re the one that gave out first-“

“Oh really?” A challenge is in the evil genius’ voice. “Let’s just see about that…”

In the faint moonlight coming in through the window, Wilson picks up a laughing Annie E and they head back to the bedroom, the former X Force 9 member’s robe dropped halfway to the door. They disappear inside the room, leaving the living area empty.

But everyone in the world knows Wilson’s mind isn’t where it should be. Where he’d like it to be. Instead, it’s set on the fact that in a few short weeks he has to go one on one with one of the deadliest men to ever grace the federation. Two former world champions going at it in God only knows what kind of match. That had yet to be decided, but one thing was.

Wilson was ready. As ready as he’d ever be, and Divefire could only hope that he was half as prepared as Chris Wilson was. Genesis was coming, and it was going to be the end of at least one career. If Wilson was lucky, he could make it two.

Wow. That was quite the trip down memory lane.

Luckiest. Bastard. EVER.

Raynor gives this promo 9 SMASHes out of 10. Lacked a bedroom scene.

There's the refresher course for everyone who wasn't around.

And Wilson...and Annie? Dude, no fair. One lady in the fed--who's a LESBIAN--and you get her? You really ARE evil!

Nice promo. Though, perhaps I'd like it a bit more if I knew what exactly was going on, but I can't be bothered to read up on storylines and such.

However, please, for the love of everything that is normal and good, don't let this relationship with Annie turn into something that Skipe would have written. Some of the vets, hell, you yourself, Wilson, still have the damn "streak" burned into your memory. G would, but he's erased it with the power of alcohol.

I'm almost afraid to ask, GOdrea.

And excellent promo, and I must say that does sound like me. Except I'm gay. But take that out of it and I can most assuredtly see that reaction ;)

Now, if the next promo is the promo I'm thinking it is.... heh, the humor of this relationship will shine. I don't know if I'm writing it or if Chris is.

Someone PM me and let me know...

Yeah...talk about mind games. Not only does Wilson have mind control over all of his M7 peeps...he's also got mind control over Edwin, showing everyone what a monster he really is. AND...on top of that...he can convert lesbians!!

::bows down::

Good promo...the funny thing was that when HVT came back to face JD, I was going to write...so I had Ash get me that match. I didn't write, but I just thought it was funny that I had Ash get me that match and here you are bringing it back.

I bet all you noobs didn't know that's how HVT debuted in the WF....by "KILLING" Divefire! And so started the Meat Festival and then the IGNWO.

Ahhhh...good times, eh Willy?

Anyway...nice one...

Those were good times. I still say if our tag reign hadn't been stripped, we coulda went on for like...well...forever, or something.

There's a lesson to all you kiddies out there: Want to make a mark? Kill the WF commissioner.

(Everyone's eyes turn to Stubby)

And yes, I know I'm that damn good for converting lesbians, making big stables and exposing top faces for evil, evil bastards with the help of cane-wielding ex-Clan associates. B-)
