Why is WWE Hyping The Gay Wedding Angle So Much?

They are hyping a wedding angle between two guys who have turned into jobbers recently and are the worst gay tag team of all time. They get no heat whatsoever, except for Rico. Why are they hyping this angle so much? Do they actually think this will draw ratings? I just don't understand why they are hyping this acting like it is some huge event.

They're kind of going above and beyond the call of duty for a mid-card angle.

 

I guess since the PTC promised never to get on their case again, they're taking advantage of that and trying to use controversial angles to get their name out there.
