Guest The Czech Republic Posted September 8, 2002 Report Posted September 8, 2002 Surely we've all read "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Steven R. Covey, or its whiny offspring "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens." And if neither apply, surely you know what it is and have heard jokes about it. Basically, this guy decides he's going to tell us how we can better our lives by winning victories with ourself and the world, thus becoming "effective," yet terribly annoying and not much fun at parties. I want to know how wrestlers do at following the 7 Habits, to see who's Effective and who isn't. So let's take a look. If you're familiar with the book, do reply. Booker T and Goldust synergize quite well: their worth as a team outweighs their separate worths alone added together. Kanyon is good at sharpening the saw. He takes some time off, restoring his mind, body, heart, and soul, and he'll be back better than ever. Rob Van Dam is NOT proactive! He does not show enthusiasm for being in the driver's seat of his life, and often replies with "yeah, whatever" or "you're a tool," which exhibits the fact that he cannot appreciate other people's effort. John Cena is not very proactive either, as he is determined to TRY, but not to DO. Bubba Ray Dudley is not good at putting first things first. He is often too worried about dancing or putting someone through a table, and this can cost him the win. The Rock and Chris Jericho show little skill in seeking first to understand, then to be understood. They often cut people off with "IT DOESN'T MATTER--" or "SHUT THE HELL UP!" Final verdict thusfar: wrestlers are ineffective in the eyes of the Coveys. They should buy daily planners.
