One Night Only was a pretty good PPV. After the main event is over...then fans fill the ring with garbage.

i've got the tape on order from my tape dealer. i remember them showing highlights on Raw and the crowd was PISSED at hbk. at that moment, you knew there was a negative, sinister vibe in the wwf.

Hey everyone. My first post on this board

 

The One Night only PPV was pretty good. I have a master copy of it, that WWF released, it doesnt have Bret Vs taker on it though.

 

The main event was for the European title. Bulldog had it at the time and Michaels beat him for it and the fans trashed the ring. Garbage was everywhere and they bood alot

 

Pretty cool to see, Plus before the match outside they asked the fans who would win and 99% of the fans said Bulldog becasue he was the best and he was European and then Michaels wins it.

Whilst it does contain some crap (Tiger Ali Singh V Leif Cassidy, for instance) the good stuff is really good.  Owen V Vader is quite a unique match, HHH V Dude Love is cool, Bret V Taker is excellent, whilst Shawn V Davey is brilliant.  The original plan had them rematching at the April 98 Euro PPV, but we all know what happened there (in the end the Mayhem in Manchester event was a house show, and headlined by a lame HHH-Austin match).

The fans were great throught the show too, being wrestling starved always makes the British fans a damn hot crowd.

 

Make sure your tape has Bret V Taker on it though, if not you'll be missing out on a great match.

 

Michaels is awesome as the cocky heel too, one of his best final performances.

Yep.  Great great ending.   Bulldog losing the Euro title IN ENGLAND was truly a shocking result at the time.

I still can't get enough of the garbage thrown in the ring. Michaels was acting like a total bitch and it was awesome. Especially when he came out for his entrance. Some kid stuck a Bulldog action figure and HBK put it down his tights. Michaels also kissed a lot of girls who looked 16.
