Guest snowfan Report post Posted September 9, 2002 Man That second TD pass by Carr and then Thump Fumble.... whattagame!
Guest Phr33k Report post Posted September 9, 2002 Yeah, how the mighty have fallen. Wasn't it only 5 years ago when they were winning Super Bowls, and now they're losing to expansion teams? Just call the Cowboys the Chris Jericho of the NFL.

Guest El Hijo Del Lunatic Report post Posted September 9, 2002 America's team can lick my ass, baby!! Quick question, though: why was Dallas trying to throw the football inside their own five with three minutes left? I'm surprised they didn't run the football at least once to get some running room. I understand they're not the most dynamic offense in the world, but still, three minutes is a lnog time if you manage things the right way. LUNATIC - Pimpin' ho's and clockin' a grip like my name was Dolemite.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted September 9, 2002 Most play of the game was in the first quarter (I think) when Carr rifled one about fifty yards RIGHT to Jermaine Lewis. It would've been a play of the week had the guy caught it. It was quite beautiful for what it was.
Guest DrTom Report post Posted September 9, 2002 Couldn't happen to a nicer guy in Jerry Jones. A 19-10 win is fairly decisive. Houston played well on both sides of the ball, and deserved this one. I imagine a lot of people in the Dallas locker room are scratching their heads at this one.

It would've been a play of the week had the guy caught it. It was quite beautiful for what it was. Lewis has NO hands. I mean not just BAD hands. NO hands. I have been watching him while he was with B-more. Hell of a burner but he'll break your heart three times for every money catch.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted September 9, 2002 I see that he's kinda like Willie Gault for the Bears back in the day. Wouldn't it be something if the Texans broke .500 this year?
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted September 9, 2002 I wanna see them make the playoffs! Seriously, it would be a tremendous statement for parity in the NFL for an expansion team to make the playoffs, and I really like the Texans for some reason. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest razazteca Report post Posted September 9, 2002 I told you so, the Cowboys are not a good team, they have not been a good team since Jay Novachek and Darrel Johnson were blockers for Emmit Smith. Speaking of the great RB, I suspect the record will not be broken until week 11 at the earliest. The Cowboys will not win until they can get quality WRs and as usual Joey Galloway is injuried again, its not major but he is not 100%, he has not been 100% since leaving Seattle. Is it possible to fire the Owner, Gm, and puppet Head Coach in week one? The big offensive play did not come from the establish star of the Cowboys, but from one of the many young lions. Wiley went 46 yards for the TD and what happens? Lets give the ball to Emmit so he can get the record and get out of town as fast as possible strategy. I've seen every snap the Ravens have taken, and I also saw Lewis play college ball at Maryland. His hands are average, but nothing to write home about. His real liability when he plays receiver is his propensity to get injured. He one of those players that are more valuable the less time he is on the field. BTW...that pass by Carr was a thing of beauty.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted September 9, 2002 Dallas will continue to suck on offense with Quincy Carter as QB. Dallas should sign Mark Rypien he'd give them a better chance of winning then Quincy.
Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted September 9, 2002 Dallas should sign Jim Druckenmiller or Jeff Brohm. </XFL mark>

He never impressed me with his WR ability at either Maryland or B-more.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted September 9, 2002 Them scoring on the first drive was too sweet- and Lewis- HOW THE FUCK DO YOU DROP THAT???
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted September 9, 2002 ..as I've preached many times..Houston is much better than Dallas. Besides, the Apostle lives there..doing the good work, and converting the sheep to the Church of No Ma'am.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted September 9, 2002 You gotta understand that ball HAD to be at least 80 MPH. I can see how Lewis could drop it. Still, Great to see "America's Team" "Blue Coller" Cowboys get dropped.

Guest Strike Force! Report post Posted September 9, 2002 Campo should be fired. He lost to an expansion team in Week 1 with a rookie QB. LOL
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted September 9, 2002 It's just one week- I think also what hurt the Cowboys was that the crowd was insanely loud

Guest cartman Report post Posted September 9, 2002 If crowds were ever a huge advanage like they were last night then tonights game shiuld go about the same way for the Pats. Think about it. This team is the only chance of a championship in the New England demographic, they won it last year and want to win it again. They have a new HUGE stadium, and some of the best and most dedicated fans in the NFL. This should be a LOUD game!
Guest Choken One Report post Posted September 9, 2002 Don't expect Reliant Stadium to be this loud all the time, the roof was closed due to Tropical Faye...so the energy will die out once it's an open arena. Why do I get the feeling that Texans will be the charlotte Hornets of Football?

Guest Choken One Report post Posted September 9, 2002 I'm refering to their imense expansion team national popularity with huge stars but not good enough for title and it all falls apart sooner or later.
Guest Texas Small Arms 09 Report post Posted September 10, 2002 Actually the open roof will being Houstonians louder. Don't believe it? Well considering that being there when the studium was full and having the place go nuts when they opened the roof. I've got company seats and shit that studium is unreal.
