Current animation is obviously sleeker, more refined, and all that stuff. I'm not saying the old cartoons were better drawn. But sometimes it gets too modern, too sleek. Sometimes less is more.

 

To make a wrestling parable: Look at Hulk Hogan's old-school basic yellow tights, and his new, much uglier tights.

Ah shit, that new Ultraman song for the English show really, really sucks. I'm scared this is going to turn into another Masked Rider. Yet another sacred Japanese franchise to be desecrated by having to adapt to American standards. I just hope the other Ultramen are introduced along the way.
