Guest Insane Bump Machine Report post Posted September 10, 2002 I think you can do that with quicktime www.apple.com/quicktime Not sure though. But you can work around it. Just press the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard when playing the movie, start a program like Paintshop Pro (even MS Paint will do but you can only save .bmp files with it) and paste into a new picture. Guest Razor Roman Report post Posted September 11, 2002 Sometimes the Print-screen trick doesn't work... it depends on what kind of CODEC and video card you're using, I think. One thing you can do is use a program like Adobe Premiere, where you can export a frame of video. That way you can go frame-by-frame to find the exact right shot and output it. I'm sure just about any video program can do that.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted September 11, 2002 I use the program Pixelon it supports mpeg, avi, quicktime videos.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted September 20, 2002 On a related topic, are there any freeware programs that can do this, or can take screenshots from DVDs? Whenever I try to "print screen" and copy and paste it never displays the full image, only like one of the corners. Is this some kind of wacky DVD "piracy protection" scheme? Guest DawnBTVS Report post Posted September 29, 2002 try Power DVD. I DLed it off Kazaa Lite tho, so I'm not sure how much it costs but you can go frame by frame on it and capture screens and upload 'em, awesome quality. I use it for my Buffy DVD's.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 2, 2002 Mediamatics DVmatics, the DVD software that came with my Compaq captures DVD just fine. I remember reading why you sometimes get a black screen when you capture DVD or video in some programs. I think it has to do with the fact that the video is being superimposed on the black screen seperately that the screen capture function can't pick up.
