Guest goodhelmet Posted September 10, 2002 Report Posted September 10, 2002 A few years ago, i used to frequent IGN until the whole IGN insider fiasco that turned gamers away en masse. After IGN, i stumbled across Gamespot. It was a suitable replacement and got my gaming preview and review fix there. NOw Gamespot seems to be on the same road as IGN. well, where else can I go to get my gaming review and preview fix?

NOw Gamespot seems to be on the same road as IGN. well, where else can I go to get my gaming review and preview fix? I know. I've asked that question a million times myself. No answer has come yet. Gamespot is really awful now. At least most of the IGN stuff is only locked for a few days and then everybody can see it. It seems like EVERYTHING on Gamespot is locked up.
Guest KoR Fungus Posted September 10, 2002 Report Posted September 10, 2002 Ugh GameSpot has a bunch of subscriber only stuff now? Dammit. IGN and GameSpot used to be the only gaming sites I ever needed, now they're both becoming useless. I go to GameRankings (www.gamerankings.com) for reviews now. They have links to a bunch of review sites and compile all the reviews to figure out an average for every game, it's kind of neat. Besides that I still just go to IGN and hope that what I want to see isn't subscriber only.
Guest J*ingus Posted September 10, 2002 Report Posted September 10, 2002 Well, there's always gamefaqs, but I guess that's kinda different.
Guest goodhelmet Posted September 10, 2002 Report Posted September 10, 2002 so for the most part i am SOL. if anyone else knows, then by all means speak up!!!!
Guest areacode212 Posted September 10, 2002 Report Posted September 10, 2002 MrRant stole my thunder. I was going to suggest GameSpy too. All those Planet* sites (PlanetQuake, PlanetUnreal, etc....) are run by them, so they know their shit. Also, if you're interested in a specific platform/franchise, there are lots of good news sites for those.
