After IGN, i stumbled across Gamespot. It was a suitable replacement and got my gaming preview and review fix there. Gamespot is really awful now. At least most of the IGN stuff is only locked for a few days and then everybody can see it. It seems like EVERYTHING on Gamespot is locked up. Guest KoR Fungus Report post Posted September 10, 2002 Ugh GameSpot has a bunch of subscriber only stuff now? Dammit. IGN and GameSpot used to be the only gaming sites I ever needed, now they're both becoming useless. I go to GameRankings (www.gamerankings.com) for reviews now. They have links to a bunch of review sites and compile all the reviews to figure out an average for every game, it's kind of neat. All those Planet* sites (PlanetQuake, PlanetUnreal, etc....) are run by them, so they know their shit.
