Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2002 Since Molly is one of the biggest Christians in the WWE and she has refused to do sexual angles in the past, I'm pretty sure last night was the offical 'dropping' of the Nowinski/Molly angle. If this turns out that Molly did have the angle killed.. fuck her. Dropping it is a kick to Nowinski's career, since there would be barely any explanation why the angle is suddenly over. Molly should realize that Womens champions who get egos do not last long in the WWE.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted September 10, 2002 She was on heat, so I guess they didn't bother to do anything with her on Raw. I don't know anything about the angle getting killed, it wouldn't surprise me though. If it did, well, I can't say I blame her too much. I'm sure that'd get pretty embarassing after awhile. Sucks for Nowitzki though, but they could do the exact same angle with..I don't know, Victoria or something. I don't think this will matter at all in the long run. Guest bravesfan Report post Posted September 10, 2002 How could it have affected Nowinski's career for the BETTER? Nowinski went out there last night, cut a simple promo and got tremendous heat. He received a better reaction than all of the heels except for Bischoff cutting HLA. Nowinski is the 2002 version of the 1999 Kurt Angle:oozing charisma as he walks. Would Lawler having hyena-like seizures over the word "hymen" have sky-rocketed his push? Does staying in mixed-tag matches with Bubba and a non-existent women's division help his cause? That's like saying Brock Lesnar beating the top face in Steve Austin 1 month into his WWE career was great booking, that would sky-rocket Lesnar, but make Austin a pathetic mid-card fool. There was no point in that match, or any booking that started a feud that would've focused on Heyman/Austin anyway. And as for the dropping the feud...see the nWo 2002 for example. No one cares about these haphazardly planned angles; the smarks just sigh in relief at averted Wrestlecrap.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted September 10, 2002 Killing the angle was very smart. And killing something because of your beliefs and killing something because of your ego- Two different things. Now Nowinksi can get over and hopefully get a decent push
Guest papacita Report post Posted September 10, 2002 Um...the angle sucked anyway, so I wouldn't blame them for killing it. I still say the segment with Regal wasn't needed though.

Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted September 10, 2002 I'm willing to bet Victoria was just subbing for Molly. Molly's birthday was on Saturday, as I mentioned in a past thread. She likely was given the weekend as well as Raw off. And/or to see family. So expect her next week, although I'm kinda surprised that it wasn't mentioned on air that she was missing. Although it would have likely just led to another insult or so at her expense. I guess the powerbomb through the table was used as an on-camera excuse to keep her off Raw. Guest Leena Report post Posted September 10, 2002 JR did say that Molly probably wouldn't show up from the table shot she took last week, so she maybe just got the night off. It's not the worst thing in the world considering that you can only have so many matches with just arguably 3 talented women's wrestlers.
