Metal Ted is a cheap copycat who appears to have fallen off the face of the Earth due to poor reaction. Metal Ed, on the other hand, is most definitely bitchin'.

Just because Guy Stokes met with moderate success and Metal Ed was a huge box office sensation doesn't mean anyone should try their hand at gimmick posting.
Guest godthedog Posted September 10, 2002 Report Posted September 10, 2002 metal ted didn't have the same subtlety of delivery that metal ed does, but i still liked him. metal ed kinda walks that spinal tap-esque line between reality & parody, & makes it semi-plausible that there might actually be someone out there like this. metal ted was just generic gimmick poster comedy. guy stokes belongs in another category entirely. the joke was obvious, but it was so funny that i didn't care.

IT WAS ME ALL ALONG! [/vince] Seriously, it really was me. I created Metal_Ted as a way to pay homage to, and add depth to the back story of Metal_Ed. I thought I actually did an ok job copying Metal Ed, but yet nothing can compare to the original. Now that this is over, you guys can delete Metal Ted's account, cuz his joke has run it's course. (Of course I did have the idea of making the name Metal Ed Jr., and only post the words "PAPA!" when Ed posted, but decided that would bring lots of heat on me)
