Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted February 25, 2002 Why is the 1960 U.S. team completley overlooked by everyone. Everything is about 1980. Don't get more wrong 1980 was a remarkable upset, but would people be calling it the Miracle on Ice if Al Micheals hadn't called his know famous line? 1960 might of been even more impressive. They won 7 games in 7 days, including beating the Commies, and the Canadians... who didn't participate in 1980. Like 1980,political tensions between the US and the Commies were at an all time high.
