I got the Wrestlemania X-8 DVD. I don't have regular DVD_player but I do have PS2. The 2nd disc works fine. But when I put in the 1st disc it says "Error reading disc" and it won't play at all. I thought it was cuz the disc was messed up, os I brought it back to "Nobody Beats the Wiz" (Best Buy beats them any day) and exchanged it for a new one. I went home and the same friggin thing happened and I am very mad. Has this happened to anyone else and can it be fixed? By the way, I tried all my other DVD's and they all worked fine, so I know it's not my PS2. PLEASE HELP ME.

is the disc clean or scratched?

is the PS2 dirty?

have you tried to change the position of the PS2, like play it vertical or hortizontal

get a cheap DVD player like Apex

The PS2 is clean, the disc is brand new (I bought it today). With the vertical thing....it doens't even say..."Reading disc"

P.S. How do i get pics into my profile and signature?

I also own a PS2 and have several WWF DVDs including WM X-8 and they all work fine. I've always used my PS2 in vertical position (hint: change the tray logo accordingly) and no problems so far.

I don't know what to tell you, this seems really odd.

DO NOT GET AN APEX

I got one for x-mas for my first DVD player and the fucking thing didn't work, so I brought it back to Circuit City who kindly exchanged it and that one broke about a month and a half later, so by this time I was really pissed and brought it back got a credit and bought a better DVD player which still works perfectly. The moral of the story is don't get cheap ass pieces of shit like APEX DVD players.

Just some friendly advice.

APEX DVD players aren't that bad for 70 bucks, and I wasnt gonna spend the money for a good one when I already have a DVD player in my computer.

I see your point there. If you want something that's about as bare bones as can be, then by all means get an APEX. Otherwise you're better off spending the extra money to get a good DVD player...
